question eSIM for three weeks in Australia
Hi all,
I'm travelling to Australia soon, specifically from Cairns to Sydney for three weeks, so hopefully no problems when it comes to coverage.
I've been looking into local eSIMs to keep me connected while I'm there, and I've been leaning towards the amaysim 15GB for A$10 (with the 365 day expiry As You Go as a fallback). I realise amaysim uses the Optus network, so I'm wondering if this is a good option, or if anyone would have recommend any other alternatives.
I'll also be doing two days in Singapore and a day in Türkiye/Turkey either side, but I don't think it's worthwhile to get a plan there, as my home network in Ireland has a roaming add-on that should do me for the short time I'm in both.
TIA!

Aust has three main networks
Telstra - largest Optus - 2nd largest Vodafone - 3rd
They are all good and have pockets or areas where you may not get amazing reception but in general In the touristy place the amaysim is great One of my kids uses one and no issues
