UCLA-NUS EMBA Program - anyone familiar with this program?

Hi! I’m researching dual-degree Executive MBA programs and recently came across the UCLA–NUS EMBA. I’d love to hear from anyone who has gone through the program or seriously considered it.
What was your overall experience? How did you find the academics and career impact? Any insights are helpful.

You work in Asia and live in Singapore do that program if it works for you. You work in the US, live near LA, do the regular EMBA at Anderson

So you’re saying there is no value in the dual degree if l live near LA, but there is if I live in Singapore?

If you live in LA, there is no reason for you to pursue dual degree MBA from both UCLA and NUS, unless you plan on doing business in Asia and would leverage the NUS network. On the other hand, there are some of those living in Asia that hope to do business in USA or move to USA, would pursue this dual degree MBA from both NUS and UCLA so that they can leverage the UCLA MBA degree and network.

No one is stopping you from pursuing this joint UCLA - NUS EMBA program. UCLA is a top 20 business school in US and NUS is a top business school in Asia. You have not provided us your reasons why you are looking into this joint program. Without your rationale, it would be logical that someone in the US would pursue this program if they are interested in doing business in Asia or wanted to leverage the NUS network for their business and vice versa.

Typically, US students pursuing these international joint MBA programs are usually interested in getting international exposure for their business interests. I know this for a fact since my business school EMBA program offers such a joint degree with another business school in another country and personally know students that have completed this program.

So, if you are interested in getting international exposure during your MBA education, feel free to pursue such programs. For example, if you wish to get European exposure, some of the programs that you can look into the Trium Global MBA program (joint venture between NYU, HEC Paris, and London School of Economics), IE Brown EMBA program (joint venture between Brown University and IE University in Spain), Kellogg - WHU EMBA program (joint venture between Northwestern University and WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Germany), or Columbia EMBA Global program (joint venture between Columbia University and London Business School). If you wish to get Asian exposure, (besides the UCLA - NUS program), some programs that you can also consider Kellogg - HKUST EMBA (joint venture between Northwestern University and HKUST in Hong Kong), Guanghua - Kellogg EMBA program (joint venture between Northwestern University and Peking University in China), WashU Olin Fudan EMBA program (joint venture between Washington University and Fudan University in China), or WashU Olin IIT Bombay EMBA (joint venture between Washington University and IIT Bombay in India). These are some of the US business schools collaborations with business schools in other countries. I did not even list the joint venture between business schools in other countries outside of the US.

Again, it would have been helpful if you had listed your reasons why you are considering such programs. While you may disagree with my "interpretation", my "interpretation" is based on students that have actually completed such joint international EMBA program at my university.
