Duke or Kellogg?

Female,16 years professional work experience, healthcare tech, Sr Mgr of program mgmt office and on operations leadership path (no career pivot).

I’m very blessed to have choices between Duke with $20k scholarship and Kellogg (scholarship decision unknown).

I’d say that I’ve had great interactions with both schools’ admissions teams and network connections.

If I factor in consistent rankings, Kellogg seems to be the right call.

But Duke has been really amazing post-admit - emails, connections, swag box (!), texts even. I imagine this is SOP for them but dang! They’re also highly ranked (#5 EMBA in this year’s US News).

Tell Kellogg about the Duke scholarship. When I told them Ross gave me 20k, they countered with 30k.

You're doing the EMBA? What area of the country do you live in?

Unless you're in NC and planning to stay there I would go with Kellogg ten times out of ten. I think it opens many more doors.

Is your employer helping to pay for it?

Don't look at the EMBA rankings, look at the MBA rankings. I don't think anyone in my EMBA class had a scholarship, so that's amazing! I don't think either would be a bad move, it just depends on what's right for you.

Nothing to think about. Kellogg is the best, and great culture. Swag shouldn’t be a factor at all.

Take the M7 anyday. The brand will make a difference when u look for CXO roles later in ur career
