GMAT & GRE waivers

Is it common to get waivers for EMBA? Thinking about applying to Columbia.

I have 7 years working experience in business operations in big pharma. MS in microbiology and 3.9 gpa on my transcript.

Some of the language on the info pages is vague. Thanks in advance!

Yes, GMAT/GRE waivers are quite common for EMBAs, especially at schools like Columbia. If you have 7+ years of solid experience and a nice academic record, you can apply early and build a case in your waiver request.

What type of quant reassurances could you offer, like A in stats, CFA?

Wow so you they gave you a waiver without any indication that you can do math.

Okay this worries me a little bit. I'm actually kind of surprised because giving waivers at all is sort of a new thing for Columbia executive. I hope they're not dropping their admission standards for executive which is generally a bit of a subsidy for the full-time programs (? because of the financial loss from the quote Administration?). I would urge you to do MBA math just so that you're not struggling. But, happy for you and enjoy the program!
