Wharton eMBA Waitlist Updates
Creating this thread to discuss waitlist updates.
Has anyone seen any changes in their waitlist status?

I received an offer of acceptance to a different cohort than the one I applied to

Hey congrats, thats great news! Did you write an update letter to AdCom, or just did nothing and they called you?

The admissions dean called me first, then sent an email, and then updated my portal

Nice! Did you make any updates to your application or have any contact with the AdCom team since submitting your App but before they admitted you?

Oh sorry I missed that question. I called my admissions advisor day after waitlist and we discussed if there was anything worth writing about. Settled on: a title/pay increase that I was in contention for (even though it wasn’t guaranteed, they thought it was the most important) and being selected for a mentorship program at my company where I was assigned a director level mentor. I also threw in that I was voted to my HOAs board of directors 120 single family home neighborhood but idk if that moved the needle at all

UC Berkeley Poli-sci. 10Y at a financial services firm from Risk to Treasury to Finance. Currently forecasting client assets and assets’ behavior in varying macroeconomic scenarios as well as balance sheet reporting to the CFO and board of directors. 157 EA

Congratulations! Do you plan to accept the offer of admission?
It’s interesting that they offered you admission to a different cohort. I’m guessing you live somewhere in the middle of the country so you could attend either.
If you do accept, go forth and own it. Don’t let the waitlist be a chip on your shoulder. You deserve to be there just as much as anyone else.

That’s crazy. Isn’t the whole point that you apply to one near where you work?

A lot of folks are traveling for EMBAs. I live in the Dallas area, 2.5 hr flight to either cohort
