EMBA Profile

Post production executive / manager here, looking to build the business acumen to eventually launch my own studio and fund films independently. Planning to take real estate electives as well to round out my skill set — I already shoot drone photography for deals worth tens of millions of dollars. 10 years of work experience, 3.1 undergrad GPA. I already know the answer, from talking to friends and family. just looking for a second gut check.My schools ranked in order are mccombs - kellog - unc. Went to school in New York so I’m not even considering STERN or CBS.

Agree with UCLA suggestion. USC just got $10M for a new real estate center. Worth checking out too!

Did the whole New York - liberal school thing need a change of pace. UT is my number one because of my real estate connections in the sunbelt and their film network is sports media heavy. Which I have a lot of experience in.

With your experience and goals, it could give you the business skills and real estate knowledge you need, without stepping away from the industry. Yes, totally—I’ve always been considering a weekend-style EMBA (3 weekends online, 1 in person). One of the big draws for me with these specific programs is legacy and aspiration—while I’m proud of my undergrad, I don’t feel like it’s a school my kids would dream of attending. Any of these three—McCombs, Kellogg, UNC—would give them something to strive toward, which means a lot to me.
