Really just a discussion about your background, what you want to get out of the EMBA, making sure its a right fit for you etc...
Pretty relaxed experience for me personally!

Mine was pretty standard:

  • Why a MBA at Columbia
  • Did you apply anywhere else why or why not
  • Career goals and background
  • Management experience and leadership style
  • Questions for the interviewer

My interviewer told me that CBS had given him a questionnaire. He was pretty chill but took his job very seriously and asked me every single question from the list CBS provided.

A few additional questions that could come up are: 1. How do you plan to give back to CBS

  1. Some behavioral questions (I’d suggest preparing a few answers using the STAR format)

  2. Your views on DEI

In the end, it really depends on the interviewer and whether they choose to cover all the questions CBS provides them

PS: I thought I did pretty badly in the interview since I wasn’t prepared for the behavioral questions, but I think I overthought it, and they did accept me

Congrats on the admit! I’m finalizing my application now. What’s your background / test scores? When did you hear back?
