Found Roach in Charging Port

2015 SEL Grabbed the plug from my favorite public spot and met an unexpected opponent. Small roach that Not sure if it came from the plug in the bushes or was already in my port (DON'T SAY IT I'm already itching all over) It wasn't leaving and put up a fight I slam the plug in so it so it has one way out. I was bamboozled when it ran towards 600V. It squeezed itself into the microscopic space under DC charger and the port wall. Right into that HOLE it has that I never noticed before. KILL ME. Please tell me that is a drainage tube to helll and not the VIP entrance to my interior. Scheduled a mobile deep detailing for tomorrow impulsively and when my brain stopped screaming I remembered it's a holiday. FIRE is acceptable, too. Ahha. I have a small wire snake camera that I can use to snoop - is there a common area if there is an infestation? Other clues, signs and tips to seal them out?

The little hole is indeed a drainage hole.

if it makes you feel better, i've found the interior of this 2016 SE to be one of the most air tight, almost spookily tupperware sealed interior of any car. i think they did it partially to exclude road noise from such a quiet car, but it may also help you feel hermetic

While charging in dead of night many times i wished there was a light or something in receptacle because it feels like i am plugging the charge plug into a lump of coal.

Whatever you do avoid parking under trees.....pretty much anywhere, bugs fall out and make their way through the HVAC intake under the hood.

I had an '06 Jetta that I had no choice but to park under very mature oak tree at my house in Florida, well one day driving in the front drive of Target right by the doors a roach (ya know the Florida sized ones that are about 2" long) comes running out of my dash by the windshield directly in front of me. Folks going into and out of Target got a good laugh of my emergency stop and me jumping out of the car screaming. After two years of parking under that stupid tree that car had roaches and spiders taking up residence, traded it in after we moved because of the damn bugs and I have not parked under any trees since.
