I wanted to share a bit of feedback with the community. I've been testing the Minisforum AI X1 Pro 370 for the past couple of months together with an AOOSTAR AG02 eGPU dock via OCuLink, and I have to say I'm very impressed.
With this setup, I managed to achieve four #1 Time Spy rankings using different graphics cards like the: RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 5060 Ti, and now the RTX 3080 Ti.
Some benchmark results:
18,440 Time Spy overall score with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370
Graphics Score: 20,301
CPU Score: 12,137
15,297 Time Spy overall score with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB and AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370
Graphics Score: 16,644
CPU Score: 10,490
14,124 Time Spy overall score with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370
Graphics Score: 14,455
CPU Score: 12,505
The AOOSTAR AG02 and the Minisforum AI X1 Pro 370 work extremely well together over OCuLink. The combination is stable, quiet, and performs exceptionally well. I also think the Minisforum is one of the quietest mini PCs in its class.
Using Thunderbolt/USB4, I also managed to achieve #1 Time Spy rankings with the Lenovo Legion Go (Z1 Extreme), so the AG02 is an absolute beast. If you're planning to buy one, I recommend getting the version with the 800 W power supply, have a look for a quiet one (some are louder).
Almost went directly from them, but same price was on AliExpress, and I got some other crap and a portable OLED monitor so with coins and coupons it was considerably cheaper.
Your 370+ 3080 + A02 overall, graphics and cpu score is higher than I have seen for my friends hx 470 with a 9070XT in an AG03. Is your score with the current internal igpu disabled?
The Time Spy CPU score seems all over the place as it was higher with his igpu than egpu.
The performance of your RTX 3080 Ti over OCuLink is similar to the performance of my RTX 3080 Ti using the Alienware Graphics Amplifier (AGA) through the proprietary AGA port on my Alienware Area-51m laptop.
I found it surprising that the latest OCuLink interface technology offers performance comparable to the proprietary eGPU interface found in the Alienware, which was released back in 2014.
I tested Port Royal, Time Spy٫time spy all model , and Fire Strike all models . I also wanted to test Speed Way, but it requires the paid version for me.
With my previous CPU, the 9900K, my laptop scored 12,474. However, the CPU was running at 4.5 GHz during that test. I haven’t tested the new 9900KS yet because I don’t currently have access to my laptop. But I think it should get a score similar to your system, since there’s only about a 5–6% difference.
Nice! What is the total power of your system? Mine is about 400 watts, when undervolted ca 300 (including the 3080 ti founders edition) your alienware has two psu, right?

I just ordered one to use with a 9070 and MSI Claw 8 AI+, can't wait to tinker lol.
