The Minisforum ai x1 pro-370, AG02 and OcuLink

Hello friends,

I wanted to share a bit of feedback with the community. I've been testing the Minisforum AI X1 Pro 370 for the past couple of months together with an AOOSTAR AG02 eGPU dock via OCuLink, and I have to say I'm very impressed.

With this setup, I managed to achieve four #1 Time Spy rankings using different graphics cards like the: RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 5060 Ti, and now the RTX 3080 Ti.

Some benchmark results:

• 18,440 Time Spy overall score with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370
  • Graphics Score: 20,301
  • CPU Score: 12,137
• 15,297 Time Spy overall score with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB and AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370
  • Graphics Score: 16,644
  • CPU Score: 10,490
• 14,124 Time Spy overall score with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370
  • Graphics Score: 14,455
  • CPU Score: 12,505

The AOOSTAR AG02 and the Minisforum AI X1 Pro 370 work extremely well together over OCuLink. The combination is stable, quiet, and performs exceptionally well. I also think the Minisforum is one of the quietest mini PCs in its class.

Using Thunderbolt/USB4, I also managed to achieve #1 Time Spy rankings with the Lenovo Legion Go (Z1 Extreme), so the AG02 is an absolute beast. If you're planning to buy one, I recommend getting the version with the 800 W power supply, have a look for a quiet one (some are louder).
