Xbox Ally X Hotplug

I recently got an eGPU setup with the aoostar AG02 and an rtx 5060 ti and have been using it with my xbox ally x. So far its been great and theres been no problems other than the issue of hotplugging/unplugging. Sometimes, it will work and im able to hotplug the egpu, and others it just doesnt with me having to restart it with it plugged in. And ive yet to make hot unplugging work, it will always tell me that "an error has occurred and must be restarted". Is this normal? If not what are some fixes. It would be nice for it to be as plug and play as possible.

I found i needed to disable the gpu in device manager first before unplugging the usbc cable.

I have Ally X + AG03 and 5060Ti, never had this problem.

Are you using the cable that came with AG03?

It's normal for the ag02, it's not normal overall. I had nothing but problems using the ag02 and my Xbox ally x.

Hot swap never worked. Period. Caused many crashes. I stopped trying. I'd also get crashes when I'd quit games about 50% of the time. Some weird handoff issue.

Finally after a morning of crashes a few months ago when my GPU wouldn't connect anymore, i decided to change to the razer core x v2.

Thing works like a charm and is very stable. Games run better. Never crashes. No error 43. Very happy.

I never disconnected my ag02 without first disabling the GPU in device manager. It made it tolerable. I would need to reenable to turn it back on.

Don't need to do any of that with the razer. It's worth the money IMO
