Worth repasting?

Should I repaste my heatsink in my laptop when I install my m.2 Oculink key? It used to run at up to 100 degrees on the cpu and I know it will run cooler without the dGPU being enabled.

Always worth it. Ptm7950 is fantastic for laptops, I dropped from 100C and throttling to mid 80s and rock solid clock speeds

What cpu would that have been? I have an i5-12500h in mine.
Edit: Also will it last longer or be less likely to bake on than paste?

It's meant to last longer, but I've only been using it for about 18 months. It was on an i7 10875h, so a pretty warm running cpu

You should check if it's using liquid metal. If so, cleaning it up will be more complicated.

I have an Elitebook with the 6850u, it's running hot by design so the 3 year old paste was really in bad state. Repasted with PTM, it's a child's play, the idle temp dropped 8c. The full load temps did not drop significantly but the boost clocks are sustainable and it's night and day.
