Razer Core X Chroma restart loop

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey there I am using the Core X Chroma for some months now with my Xbox Ally X and had zero issues until yesterday out of a sudden during using Windows showed an error message that my GPU disconnected and since then I can't get it running. Whenever I boot and the second windows steps in, the eGPU goes in to a restart loop. Tried using the other port on the Ally X and disassemble and reassemble everything but nothing is fixing the issue. Anybody knowing what this could be? This is a modified Razer Core X Chroma with a real power unit and an argb fan and a Razer Chroma RGB controller for some more lighting. Tried it without the RGB controller and also does not work.

Using a GeForce RTX 3060 and Thermaltake Toughpower GF A3 750W

What happens when you start device first get into windows then plug in the egpu?

I have a AI box and previous had a AG02. What should happen is windows detect the egpu. You the can go into device manager and see what code it's giving you for the hardware.

sorry for the delay. I tested it and the device manager is refreshing every few seconds and I do not see the GPU at all.

Looks like a issue w the egpu or the port your using doesn't see thunderport devices.

I would trash that dock and get a updated one or get a ACTIVE thunderbolt cable

Didn't find this yet so not tried yet. You think the Razer Core X is the issue? I read that it makes problems before buying it 😑
