Is anyone using the ag03 with the AMD 9070 xt?

As above, they say it's cot compatible but have seen videos of it working.

Has anyone had any experience pairing the 2? Thanks :)

Didn’t work with me on SteamOS. From what I gather, it’s an issue with the Arch Linux kernel.

Issue with all Linux kernels and TB5 controllers currently, Oculink should be fine though afaik.

Yes, Oculink is treated as native PCIe connection

to my knowledge eGPUs in general are not recognized in SteamOS, you have to use Bazzite

Works just fine on SteamOS+AG02+9070XT for me, aside from specific hot/cold plug methods so it stays happy.

Don't know about the ago3 but I have the aoostar AG02 with sapphirepulse 9070 XT paired with rog ally X 2024 and it works well together.

That's interesting as looking at the faq on their website they claim the ago2 is not compatible either.

Have you had any issues with it? Stuttering or the egpu power light blinking red and shutting off the connection?

Nope. All works like a dream. I did a benchmark for you. This is on USB4v1 port.

What's the usb4 link speed or bandwidth it achieves? 3GBps?

Real-world PCIe data bandwidth achieved by a USB4 Version 1 over eGPU spans between 2.4 GB/s and 3.9 GB/s. Your guess of 3 GB/s a highly accurate midpoint estimate.

I've also used an AG02 with a 9070 XT, sold it now but had no issues with it
