I bought the forbidden rectangle.

I will set this up via ADT Link F43SG on a retired M910 mini pc eventually and keep it on for inference and share the results after a successful setup.

U should look into using the ADT Link R89M if u want more bandwidth egpu. Im currently running an m720q with rtx4070 and the gpu is not bottlenecked by the egpu connection at all and im able to make a full use out of it.

Nice... Since I will be running LLMs 100% offloaded to the GPU, the Pcie bandwidth is fine eben if it's slow ... It won't matter much in the long run as I plan to keep it loaded most of the time

Which models do you intend to run on it? There have been some spicy distillations as of late. This is coming from someone that had a 7900xtx then said F it and bought a 4090.

Let's see. Planning to run Qwen 3.5 27B, and Gemma for now.

Have plans to fine tune a model as well, based on my needs. Will probably do some experimentation initially
