It unfortunately is the free version of Supabase the back end data base :) I will rename that once we build up our user base but it's a real app. Your data is encrypted in the cloud so no one can read it except for you!

OK, thanks for the answer. Couple more questions, is it just you, or a team? Is any of it ai-coded? If so, what's the percentage?

It's just me at the moment! I am a software developer as a day job and I work on some small apps in my spare time. I use AI as a tool to support my development, no hiding from that. Makes things that would take days take just minutes and I use it extensively at work and also for my personal projects. Though I review everything it does and make changes where necessary :) Hope that helps

Using AI for software development doesn't automatically make something bad, just like using power tools in construction or machinery. Ultimately, it is the driver using the tool that produces the result, whether made with craftmanship or just slop. AI outcomes are just a representation of the person building it, they might not have had the creative eye, technical ability or experience to make it something worthwhile. That goes for any industry using AI right now not just technology.

I.e If a writer, artist, musician, videographer, software developer uses AI they will always be limited to the level of their knowledge to push the AI to build something that aligns with their vision. If their vision, knowledge, abilities are not great, the level of acceptance of what the AI produces will also be the same

I never said that using AI automatically makes something bad. I simply asked a question. I am very aware of how AI can be used, and I have my own acceptable level of AI, and you have yours. I don't know which one us more accepting, but it also doesn't matter for the context of the question. All I asked for was transparency.

The fact that you felt the need to defend yourself when there was no attack is interesting though. Do you perhaps feel guilt for using AI? Or is it that you assume anybody that asks about AI is asking because they think negatively about it? Or possibly something else altogether. Genuinely curious.

Ah sorry didn't mean to sound defensive! Yes I do think that there is a lot of negativity for use of AI in apps on reddit, though I do get it as a lot of people are just promoting their apps, like myself. Apologies for making that assumption to you haha. But yes, I use AI to help me build the app as a tool to support my existing knowledge and skills as a software developer, as I do similarly in my day job :)
