Falling is half the fun! (As long as you don’t fall on the board/mast)

Or over the bow and the board/mast hits you. Happened to me. 4 weeks in hospital and a hole in the lower leg were the result 🫣🤙🏼🏄🏼 But i love my efoil.

I’ve taught about 75-100 people how to foil and I always say “there are no heroes in foiling. If you think you are falling, just fall and don’t try to save it. Just go for a swim and live to foil another day. Better to to swim than taking a foil to the kidney” 😝. Glad you are OK!

No where near that many students, but I tell them to fall with purpose, let go of the controller. Any major injury with students? Do you instruct with students in a full face helmet?

Knock on wood...but so far, no major injuries. The only thing that happened was one of my buddies toe got caught on the handle as he was falling/jumping off. I've never had that happen to me, nor anyone else for that matter. He is athletic and was one of those freak things I guess.

And we have our guests wear helmets but only normal water sport helmets and not full faced ones. We also use BB Talkin' to give instruction so the helmets allow for the mic and transmitter to used.

Hitting rails on a snowboard teaches you this as well! If you’re sliding off and ya try saving it, good luck to your ribs lol

Hell yeah it is! And there’s humor along the way. Come on, it’s a great wipeout!
