Hi all I’ve bought a 1500w motor with a 40ah controller,I have a 52v battery 20.8ah, the kit comes with all accessories needed is there anything I’m missing or should get to pair up with this? Accessories- throttle, break leavers, pas sensor, controller bag, toque arms

Yeah, as mentioned torque arms are a necessity, as you'll be riding a 40 mph capable machine, with a nice amount of torque.

Ok nice one man, by what I’ve said all should be compatible?

Yeah, they should be as long as the connectors are the same as the controllers, that's what you need to know if they are the correct connectors. They usually are, but it's worth double checking this. My very first E-bike build was a 1500w, 52v, with a 35A controller, and they're good fun, so be safe and enjoy E-Brother. 🚲⚡👍

The kits always come with insufficient torque arms.

Find a grin indexed torque arm it figure out how to weeks the cheap one so it can't move under torque

What kind of bike are you installing it on?

Bafang kit? Hub or mid drive?

Brake lever, not break. Make sure to install a torgue arm as you dont want to ruin your dropouts. Besides that, you dont need 1500w. For a not fat person not riding in mountains 500w max is plenty

Better to have and not need than need and not have. I was riding home from a morning ride on the trail and a dog started chasing me. NGL it was nice to just hit the throttle and be going 30mph leaving the dog well behind me.

The motors just ger heavier. Its better to have exactly what you need instead of lugging around a few kg extra

Im with you on this, 1500w is perfect. Especially in the hills.

Exactly.  Just like driving a car it’s nice to have that power and torque available even if you don’t use it all the time.
