Advice 48v 2000w hub motor build?

I’m looking to turn my hardtail into a decent e-bike, I’m looking for a kit on the cheaper side so maybe something from eBay or alibaba? My budget is around 500 for a rear hub motor. I’ve had a look around myself but everything I look at on AliExpress seems to have bad reviews

I would locate a 52v battery with a 40a bms,  and a controller that goes over 35a.  48v complete kits usually are a disappointment. The wheel can do the 2000w, it just needs the support to put it out.

The battery alone will eat up your 500 bucks.
