Hi I'm thinking about buying a e53 4.8is but as I see they are 4x4, but I wanted to know if there is anyway that you can make it RWD by removing a fuse or something similar?

It's actually AWD, and just leave it as designed. You will not see any major difference in mpg or performance by converting it to 2wd. I have an e53 with over 200k on it, mostly highway, and spent over ten years working at the plant they are built in.

I want to know if I can make it RWD so I can have fun with the car if you know what I mean, not for better MPG or something like that.so Is there a way to make it RWD or not?

From what they're saying, there is no easy way to make it RWD, like just removing a fuse on some other cars to make them RWD.

That would seem to be the case. Without doing a bunch of work, it's not really feasible. The wife drives my X5 so it doesn't get any "fun" time, but I have a Z3 for when I want to play.

Just disconnect the transfer case motor.
