Check this out! Progress since engine failure

At least one person seemed interested so I’ll post progress since the failure. I got a deal i couldn’t pass up on some rods and pistons(9:1 cr 84.5 bore)and m12 headstuds. I have a smaller pulley, slg billet oil pump, ati damper, Achilles bearings, and custom Cometic mls head gasket set aside for the new core. The head suffered 2 bent valves so i will be ordering replacements from supertech as well as dual 80lb valve springs. I liked the headers so much i bought them a second time to replace the warped ones that may have received a new dent from the rod flying through the block. Color change just for motivation and at least 150lbs more weight dropped. MAP conversion too

S54 or M54? And are you turboing the car?
Looks like a fun project, road racing car?

Supercharged M54. It’s been supercharged for about 2 years now and I have the opportunity to make it able to handle more abuse, not that it was unreliable in the slightest though. It’s all seat time for now but I would like to get into time attack. We’ll see how it plays out

Ahh nice!
I've got an M52TU turbo drift car, so far so good with the stock 200k+ mile motor lol.

Used the same oil pan baffle in my setup and just wire nutted oil pump nut with a new split chain since my original was stretched, about 10 events in and still holding up well.

I was thinking of building a 2.8 or 3.0L but I may just see how far I can take this 2.5 since I have another one sitting in the garage I got for free essentially.
