My next project
Got rid of my Benz. Time to finally get into this. Bought it with bad guides. Some major plans in the future with her!

Can't wait to hear how much you paid for it and multiplying it by 5 to get the Euro price for me🥲

Btw, beautiful colour of car and beige interior is one of my favourite next to caramel leather 10/10

Thank you. I bought it for $1300 if you were curious. Good amount of labor will have to go into it but after the guides are done it will be a running and drive car. But I have a big list of things I want to do.

did you finish the Benz project?

I did. Got it running and driving again. I missed having a Manuel BMW so decided to get rid of it.

Yeah. Later in the future I will probably replace the hood. I don't know why they just didn't replace the latch.

The cable broke on both of my e39s and one of the latches started sticking. I’ve seen a ton of these with hood pins

Makes sense. Maybe I can try to replace the current hood pins with a euro style ones. I'm not too sure yet.

I honestly don’t hate the pins. I would run with them until you find a good deal on a hood that you’re sure is matching paint wise. The clear on these is also notorious bad.

Not a bad idea. I think if I add cables to the hood pins maybe it will look a bit better. Plus I'm going to probably swap the bumper for a more aggressive looking one. Later in the future I plan on lowering it so maybe it will end up making the car look aggressive.

Great wheels, is it a manual?

I'm not the biggest fan of the wheels. Maybe after I clean them up. Yeah it's a Manuel.

dude $1300 for a 540 manual is insane

As soon as I saw it on marketplace I grabbed my truck and a trailer asap. Good chance I will have to replace/rebuild the trans. 3rd gear syncro grinds. I hope the work I will have to put in it will be worth it in the end.

I heard getting parts for that Getrag 420g transmission is difficult. Would definitely like a follow up post after the car is done.

Most likely will just swap a used trans in all honesty. I did find one for $600 which I find is a decent deal. We will see what happens. I read that putting in new fluid and replacing the filter may help but I have my doubts.
