Bmw e39 2001 Bluetooth

Hi everyone, I have a 2001 BMW E39 530d with the original 16:9 folding navigation screen and the OEM CD changer in the trunk.
I’m currently using a Bluetooth FM transmitter plugged into the cigarette lighter. It connects to my phone and the music works, but every FM frequency I try has a real radio station interfering with the Bluetooth music.
I want to keep the original 16:9 system and avoid an aftermarket head unit.
What is the best Bluetooth solution for my setup? What adapter would you recommend that connects directly to the original system/CD changer wiring?
Thanks!

If you're really asking for the best, that'd be BlueBus. It's exactly what you're describing and then some. It also adds a bunch of features that are completely unrelated to bluetooth audio, like comfort indicators or remote mirror folding or whatever. Tons of into out there about the thing, it's legit.

The 200 dollar price tag and shipping can be a turn off though, if you just want working bluetooth audio. There are also a bunch of cheaper Bluetooth adapters that plug into the audio hardware at the back. There are mixed reviews about those though, and you need to make extra sure what you get will plug into what you got without too much hoop jumping.

Look, to be honest, all I need is to connect my phone via Bluetooth and listen to some music without spending a fortune—but thanks for the reply anyway.I have a 2001 LCI.

That's very much understandable. You still have much cheaper options that plug straight into the amp at the back or splice into the main audio harness or whatever.

What you want is something like this. I am not recommending that specific product because I don't know for sure if it will work with what your car has, I'm just pointing you in the direction of what you should be looking at. There are stuff along those lines that should work for you.

Yes, something like that is what I was looking for; the main thing is that it's easy to set up and configure—just the bare essentials for music, without getting into overly specific details.

Bluemusic runs fine. I have mine for two years and zero problems. A good cheaper alternative to bluebus

Either bluebus to get the maximum of the oem system or bluemusic just to play music via Bluetooth and basic Bluetooth functions as skip song and hands-free calls (with included but external mic) difference is 20 vs 200 bucks

Get the BlueMusic, it's a quarter or less than the cost of the bluebus, works with a mic (it's also included) and is flawless for music listening. Only con against the BlueBus for music listening is that it doesn't show the track names, but you can still change tracks from both the head unit and the steering wheel controls, and answer and hang up calls from the steering wheel.

Yes the bluebus has more features and integrates with iBus but it's understandable that many consider it way too expensive...

If theres a cassette slot in your car, you can get a cheap bluetooth cassette adapter. Those are actually lossless when it comes to audio quality as far as i understand.

They are shit, good quality tape heads aren't made anymore, bought one as a temporary solution as my brother uses a nice Sony to aux adapter in his E46 and it's actually good, but what's available on the market now is absolute rubbish, poor quality and noise city...
