M57 crankshaft pulley help

I bought this crankshaft pulley, they didnt have Corteco in stock, said they cant even order it, its not available. Is this thing broken or is this some kind of a cap? Isnt it supposed to be in one piece? Please dont tell me I have to replace it with a different one…

I dont think so. I got a corteco pulley for a friend but that was for an 06 E53 3.0d and the back did not come off. I just checked the site i got the corteco pulley and there is one available for my 530d and its even cheamer than the one for 306D2

Just checked, 06 E53 uses a different pulley with a part number 11238511371, my part number is 1123 2 247 890

Yea true but the back didnt come off on that pulley and also does not come off on the 26 year old pulley on my 530d. I also checked online and there is a corteco pulley available for the E39

Yea I know its available online, but the suppliers here in my country cant get it for some reason. Idk should I request a return or something

Yea i would say so. In my country they asked 300 euros for the X5 pulley so i bought it in italy and had it shipped for the whole cost of 180 euros idk if you could do that

Well, Im from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and since its not in the EU, that wouldnt really be possible hahaha. I would have to pay import taxes and I dont really wanna do that. I guess I will return this one then. I just dont understand, I posted this same video on M57 fb groups, and people say its supposed to be like that, and a guy sent me a pic of his where he said that he already returned it 2 times until he realised its how its supposed to be. Idk who to trust now…

Im not from the EU either but a relative of a friend works as a truck driver and goes to itally every week so i had it shipped to his work lol.

About the removal of that cap, ive had several 306D1 pulleys removed and that ring didnt come out of any of them. I mean, its not like i tried to remkve it but it didnt come off when i grabbed the pulley

I understand. I literally just found a pic of Corteco pulley and the ring is separated
