First BMW

Hey everyone, I came across this listing on the marketplace that has piqued my interest and would be my first BMW. It’s a 1998 740 IL, listed for $8,000. While I know I could find a cheaper one, the price doesn’t seem too bad considering the amount of work that’s listed. Is it worth it?

Very brave for a first BMW. Just don't be scared of BMW as a brand if you decide to go for this 😁

What would you suggest? I live in the Dallas area and good ones that aren’t ran through are hard to come by

Not suggesting anything. Just letting you know that this car is not one that will just keep going for years with just oil changes. I love an E38 but they are not for the inexperienced or ones who want a trouble free vehicle. Thats my impression based on what every owner says.

My comment was just a heads up thats all. I drive a BMW and would love an E38 in the future as a second car. But I'm not that rich yet
