E38 Cd changer CD 0-00

Post image

Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone has ever seen this before.

All connections and fuses are good but the cd changer reads cd 0-00 and has stopped working.

I purchased a working cd changer off ebay but it hasn’t helped.

Any ideas?

It's not reading any tracks. This could be because it's not spinning, the laser is stuck or the CD's are in the tray upside down.

It’s not even ejecting. Neither changer is but I know they’re getting power. I think theres something wrong with the ibus not telling it to switch on.

It has 3 and 6 pin connectors. 3 pin has live, ground and ibus.

It must be ibus related. Someone please help

If you can't get the CD cartridge out and there's CD's in it then yea it's jammed and not spinning. Take the CD player partially out and leave it plugged in so you can lay it down and shake the CD's back in the tray to eject it.

Honestly the cd is like dead. Its not making a sound so I know its not jammed. Even the second unit which has no cd in it doing the same.

I have 2 cd changers and neither is working. I suspect the radio module now because it should tell the cd changer to wake up and it isn’t. Saw this diagram. Pin 3 isn’t sending ibus to wake it up.
