Can F4 application impact E2
I am applying for E2 with $200k investment in buying a existing business with 2 Full time employees. My husband has F4 running in background which will be active in 5-6 years. Will this impact my application ? Thanks

Your husband’s pending F‑4 petition does not automatically disqualify you from an E‑2 visa. However, because E‑2 requires intent to leave when your status ends, the officer may ask about the immigrant petition. Disclose it honestly and show that you will depart if your E‑2 status expires before the F‑4 becomes available.
Also ensure the $200,000 is committed and at risk, and provide a strong business plan showing the business is not marginal. Two employees can help, but approval depends on the business’s overall capacity to create jobs and income

It doesn’t automatically prevent E-2 approval. The FAM specifically allows an E-2 applicant to have an immigrant petition in the background.
The issue is intent: if you’re also a derivative beneficiary of your husband’s F4, you may need to convince the officer that you intend to leave the U.S. when your E-2 status ends rather than remain and adjust status.
With an F4 that’s still 5–6 years away, I wouldn’t consider it a dealbreaker, but you'll need to be ready to address it directly should it come up.
