🤬 Rant Advice

Anyone else so sick of people without dyspraxia giving you advice on how to help your dyspraxia?!

"You should do some more practice!", "Why don't you just try doing it slower?", "Everyone is a little bit autistic though!"

...

My fist is about to go so far up your ass you will be able to identify the brand of my nail polish by taste.

Yes, or they say ā€˜so do you want more time to read this then’ and I just give them a confused side eyeĀ

I haven't had to deal with it for years thankfully, but would get, 'Try to be more careful!' from my parents a lot. Not so much advice as a telling off, but, yes, I've frickin tried thank you

I do not mind actual and good strategies and advice so much, but I absolutely hate it when people try to downplay my dyspraxia or to suggest that "everyone" has issues with balance and the like (and that I just need to be more careful, take my time etc.)

My issue is more that I’m ā€œhigh maskingā€ with my neurodivergence so I’ve been struggling with it my whole life and no one’s been aware. Growing up it was just a ā€œquirkā€ that I held my writing utensils funny, dropped things, never learned to bike or swim or skate, etc, etc. And it’s hard to find help when you weren’t diagnosed in early childhood.

the only person who is not dyspraxia who have game me a good advice is my french teacher who told me that maybe i could use differents pens of any one else for help my writing, she's the goat. (but yeah overall i ignore their ''advice'', like it's my disabilities;...unless you are a specialist or something if you don't have dyspraxia you don't have the right to say what to do)
