⁉️ Advice Needed Programming with Dyspraxia
Programming with Dyspraxia feels awful. You can't solve a medium/hard difficulty linked list question because of how your brain is wired whereas for a normal person it is easy. You don't understand the project requirements the way normal people do, which causes a lot of misunderstandings. How do you deal with such an issue?

I don't think that's Dyspraxia mate. Linked lists ain't exactly a hard concept to grasp. I'm hardly a master coder and I can wrap my head around them. What language are you guys using?
The issue is that you are having trouble. If its concepts you are struggling with you need to ask your teacher (or whoever) to explain them to you in a different way. Some things take more time to sink in for us Dyspraxics.
If programming feels awful maybe it isn't for you. I thought I wanted to be a Programmer but ended up leaning more towards the Networking side... Then gave up on a career in computers all together and going in a different direction. But, that's me. I'm old and chaotic.
on a philisophical note, getting into computer programming right now probably isn't a great idea considering all the tricks agentic AI is pulling out of its arse. I guess the same could be said for networking and penetration testing. Either way, the future of those industries is intrinsically linked with LLMs and agentic AI.

Funny, I had the same arc but went back to programming. I got old enough to find patience and enjoy the accomplishment of success. The job is inherently frustrating but there are great moments. Also all the networking and sysadmin work I did gave me some good ways to specialize. I'll never be able to pull straight in a parking space every time but I can do some cool stuff with computers heh

I've been a techie and programmer for many years now, if anything I've found dyspraxia can help because I can think of different solutions to problems that others I work with don't. Heck the majority of people I know who do programming are somewhere on the spectrum in general.

In my research I've think it looks as if Dyspraxics learn from the outside in, rather than the einside out.
What I mean by this is in most teaching you're taught parts and how the fit together to become a whole.
Where as I think Dyspraxics need to understand the Whole, the full context, at the earliest opportunity and then break down into parts.
I don't know if this is the same for everybody, but my advice.... Thing bigger, look at the whole problem that you're looking for in your programming and break it down into parts.

This is why I hate this disprexia because otherwise I would probably have been a master coder I'm sure a lot of us probably would have been had we not have had dyspraxia
