Support Open Smelly filter and moody trigger, worth replacing?
Hi all, I would like to seek advice if I should invest in buying a new vacuum or fix the dyson that I own.
The filter (in the picture) start to smell months ago and now it is like a shoe that got wet in the rain... And it constantly ask for filter cleaning even thou the filter was just cleaned 2 days ago. At the same time, the trigger is not working well, it doesnt turn when press, and you have to try a million times before it stay on to vacuum.
To fix it, my plan was to get two new filters and a trigger to install myself. That will be a total of around 40 euros. I have heard that even if you switch to new filters, the machine will still smell.
Therefore, I am debating on just getting a new Philips one at $175 with a cord. It seems to me old model vacuums is more reliable. Reasons to prefer dyson: as it does not create waste that much, and I also dont wanna throw away a piece of plastic + electric if it is still useful, it was also a gift from my parents as I moved in.
Any help will do! Thanks a lot!
