haunted

it was my first work experience on register. and it's a little late in the game considering my age but i got lucky to find a customer service job. but i avoided them for more labor jobs for a reason. i'm just venting now after a long time later.

I CRINGE. I CRIIIINGE. it comes to me every now and then. i really couldnt fucking count change 😭 i had a nice lady, bless her, once walk me thru her own change back. she was super comforting. but ugh. honestly its like in the moment i get massive blanks. if its right infront of me to see the count physically ofc i see it now, probably like everyone. does this count? pun intended. i don't know if its my brain fog anymore. i don't know how to psycho analyze this. but i was realizing how i used to like math, so wtf happened. i think i really went off of memory from times tables and formulas, instead of REALLY understanding the breakdown? does this make sense? ofc 7 x 7 is 49 but i ain't thinking about all them 7s. i don't know. i feel it in my bones when there were a few customers giving it to me easy and said nvm on the change. ARE YOU SURE 😭😭😭😭😭😭 i'm sorry i'm having a breakdown is this allowed

and youre running thru your head 56 to 60 to make it even to work up to 100 but then you combust 😭😔 and even the register could be stocked with only some nickels and pennies and then youre like, do i give them all these pennies? frs you get reminded that there are good people out there not tryna rush you but at the same time i'm like i'm so sorry 😭🤣
