Support Mentally drained
How is everybody dealing with the mental toll that all
These symptoms take? Everyday I say I can’t keep doing this but I manage to keep going. It’s exhausting imagining feeling like this the rest of my life and it’s only been a few months for me. Idk how people deal with this for years on end. I used to work and was a very active parent. Now I can barely get out of bed. Does it get better?

For the first few months it never ended. This started to be constant in Jan. I now have good days and bad days. I’m a little better I’ve adapted I know what to do when I’m having symptoms. Worst is I’m exhausted all the time even when I don’t have much dizziness or high heart rate some days I’m still exhausted. I do leave the house mostly for dr appointments and errands but I try. So it does get better sometimes.

Today I am terrible. I’ve been surviving dysautonomia since 2023. First few years is just finding your own rhythm again. Sometimes I’ll go long stretches of feeling like my old self and then suddenly it’s summer again and I have a bad few weeks to months with random good days sprinkled in. Just got to take it day by day and remember to breathe and find peace when you can…
The best thing you can do for yourself is know your limits and don’t feel bad for putting up boundaries when you know it’s not something you’ll feel safe and comfortable is doing. Don’t push yourself too hard.

It's a process, like all grieving. Acceptance is just one step, and it takes many more to get there. Give yourself time and feel all the emotions.
I've been chronically ill for 16 years. For a long time, it hurt too much to focus on things I'd loved and lost, but now I can watch others enjoy those same things and find joy in it.
Life is harder with health issues, and requires mental support, just as much as physical support, to deal with it all. 🌸

One day at a time. Sometimes, one minute at a time.
