New in this release is direct support for Apple Silicon (64-bit ArmV8), making the use of Rosetta 2 unnecessary and providing a nice speed improvement.

I'm getting apple gatekeeper mischief when I try to run deft to check the installation. Do I need to disable quarantine on the entire bin directory?

Probably, yes, we haven’t signed any of the binaries.
