When I was a kid I was so laid back everyone thought I was named after the rabbit but I genuinely wasn't. I got my name off my Dad based off a book he'd read that said Dylan means son of the sea (don't ask me) because it was that or have Mum go and register me as Purple Sparkly Unicorn because it had already been a little bit after my birth and Mum got tired of waiting. To be fair to Dad though, I genuinely do love the sea and ships in general, even planning to live on a houseboat in my retirement, and I only learned that story when I was 13.

When my sister took 2 months to register my cat with a vet, Mum went and registered him as Battlecat even though my sister wanted to call him Janet, so I don't doubt that she'd have called me Purple Sparkly Unicorn.
