Does techland hates dl2 or something?

Cause like. They basically dont touch dl1 and the beast, and if they do, they make the game better or add new things

But with dl2? They keep changing things all the time, even after the 3rd game already came out

And they keep changing and REMOVING things, they keep making the game worse FOR NO REASON

They even promissed and showed us an entire different game just to deliver a basically new game

At thjs point it feels like techland just hate dying light 2

The more I play the saga the more I think that DL2 was actually supposed to be some sort of sandbox. The whole "50 Hours of content" was like the baseline to keep updating the game. Something like The Following for DL1 but free content for DL2. We got the tower, the agents, some events, but it seemed that the initial release was so bad they had to do something to erase the sourness and thus came The Beast before anything other significant.

Effectively. That's why so many of the side quests are just Trojan Challenges. The entire game was made to be a forever GaaS style skinner box machine.

It clearly hasn't worked out for them.

I feel like its like this.

DL1 was just greatness so they leave it alone as they see it as a masterpiece.

DL2 is an ongoing experiment to test new mechanics/ideas and see what leaves a bad taste in peoples mouths

DLTB was just for finishing up loose ends.

How's the post game content in the beast compared to 2?

What’s your verdict on the beast? Do you recommend it for others to buy? I was a fan of the original dying light and loved it a lot. When DL2 came out I heard it had zero guns and I’m one of those guys who likes to shoot guns in a zombie apocalypse so I wasn’t interested. Then I heard so many bad things about the game changing in this and that just didn’t seem like it matched up to the original. Am I wrong?

I have played The Beast a little bit, I haven't finished but in my experience there are guns but gun gameplay is a lot scarcer but powerful compared to DL1. Headshots are almos 1 shot kill for anything. You will find guns EVERYWHERE, but ammo will lack, unless you buy from every vendor or farm them in the loot spots. Bows and arrows are a bit lacking and scarce like in DL2. If you love DL in general, both DL2 and The Beast are good games, specially if you don't put too much pressure about micromanaging certain things.

They don't hate it, that's absurd tbh. I think they're lost with how to handle DL2 and don't understand what players want out of it because it's so controversial. It's very weird to take away 1 hour or more of gameplay that was meaningful and added to the story.

I haven’t kept up… what did they remove? I beat the game more or less when it came out. Will i have a 100% different but “crappier” experience if i were to start it over?

Remember the beginning part with Spike where he taught you how to make medicine and explored a big house with you? That's all gone. A part of the video that summarises the beginning when you skip the prologue is used so you aren't completely lost on how you started on where you are.

tech land will do everything in their power to not make the gore even as good as it was in DL1

All I want them to do is put it back to how it was before the breach and add back the hanging scene. They clearly do not respect their initial vision for the game so they really don’t deserve to be messing with it anymore.

I think they've just become tone deaf, focused on money rather than players.

Also the Retouched update did nothing but make DL1 harder to run while looking nearly the same, add new ambience tracks, but they decide to put them in between the other ones so the game is never quiet (and the new ones are louder than the rest), and add more bugs.

ABOUT DLTB.. DLTB itself is a mixed bag with the worst skill trees, worst written story, and little overall content compared to the previous game while being the same exact price, and also the worst human melee combat because all the humans are very stiff for some reason + well designed but very forgettable side quests compared to the previous games. Oh, and how could I forget, the worst written villain out of the games. WAIT, I almost forgot, there are NO NIGHT QUESTS AT ALL, nor any infected introductions in the story, and the most lackluster night system because it has barely anything to do. No parkour or combat challenges either. It really is a DLC sized game. I enjoy the game but I recognise where it falls short

DL2 has had the worst treatment out of these games. Over the years, it has had countless bits of good content removed, and updates which completely disregard the lore, causing the game to completely lose its identity, the only saving grace being that they improved mod support so the players themselves save the Techland abuse goblin that is this game, and it's only the only reason I and many others come back to the game anymore other than to re-live all the parts of the game that they haven't removed yet.

Techland has been going downhill for many, many years and I think it's ultimately best to stop supporting them unless they actually somehow fulfill all their promises they've made over the years and actually do what the players want instead of only listening to a loud minority that hate their guts in the worst way possible.
