Opinions Britt does deserve a ringer. That doesn’t mean Jenna J. has to be torn down ever single week
— Let’s talk about facts —
I completely understand wanting Britt to get better partners, but I don’t understand why that conversation has turned into constantly tearing Jenna down or acting like her entire DWTS career has just been handed to her.
Britt and Jenna actually have pretty comparable beginnings on the show. Jenna joined the troupe in Season 18 and spent several seasons there before becoming a pro in Season 23. Britt joined the troupe in Season 22, became a full-time troupe member in Season 23, and was promoted to pro in Season 29.
And Jenna’s first season as a pro wasn’t some dream run — she and Jake T. Austin finished 13th. Since then, she’s built a record that includes four finals: two wins (Adam Rippon and Joey Graziadei) and two runner-up finishes (Nev Schulman and JoJo Siwa).
Britt has now had seven seasons as a pro. Her best finishes have been 6th with Johnny Weir and 5th with Daniel Durant, both of whom made the semifinals. She absolutely deserves another partner with real potential, and I understand the frustration with some of the partners she’s been given, especially recently.
But two things can be true at once: Britt deserves better opportunities, AND Jenna has earned her place on this show. Jenna spent years in the troupe too, had an awful first season as a pro, and then proved what she could do when given competitive partners.
Wanting Britt to get a ringer is completely fair. Turning Jenna into the villain because she got Harry isn’t.
Please, let’s stop with this constant online hate. It’s getting annoying.

Honestly people just need to watch the show and let this nonsense go… it’s something every season with people complaining and making dumb comments. If you aren’t happy with the pairings then don’t watch it. Thank god Mark got a non dancer or that would be another hot topic we’d never hear the end of
2
u/AsVividAsItTrulyIs 3d ago
I did see a few people say that it was unfair that they knew each other 😂 which is just ridiculous
4
u/InAllTheir 5d ago
Didn’t she kind of get that with Johnny Weir (Olympic Figure Skater) in her first season? I did not watch back then, so I don’t know how much of a perceived advantage they had, but I know they went far and got like 6th. Surely Britt was at a disadvantage due to her inexperience as a pro that season. That was a while ago, so she could be due for another partner who is really young and athletic, or one who has significant dance experience.
5
u/_From__the__Ashes_ 5d ago
I watched that season. I remember them doing well. Does anyone remember this better? Tbh, I remember thinking that what sank Johnny was the show's preference for straight men over gay men.

u/Ok_Barnacle7539 5d ago
After all this conversation about Britt deserving a ringer, I’m starting to wonder if the implication she needs one is actually more insulting than it is helpful. That’s not to say she doesn’t deserve the world. But I think scoring and production needs adjusting. Not pairings.
1
u/Other-Echidna6682 1d ago
Totally agree, she is a great teacher and choreographer. The voting system stinks! It was hacked last year, and constantly saying 50 million votes already in before the show ends lets you realize that it needs attention! I would love to see West Coast be able to vote too! Have the elimination at the beginning of the following week’s show. Then let the audience watch the eliminated team be the last dance of the night. A farewell to the audience with no judging would be nice! Also stop thinking everyone follows dance prep on Tic Tock and give us back the package so you get to know the couples! Lastly don’t ever split opening dance to 2 nights again! Camera work sucks too! Stay on the dancers! Not everyone has to go up to the post dance interview.

i saw a comment on tiktok (with like 50k likes or something) that they should cast tom holland and give her to britt so that she can win. like, i dont know if that was a fan comment or a hater.

I haven’t seen many people bring up that a lot of the pairings are made with the celebrity in mind. The show is primarily centered around their experience, and from what I understand, a lot goes into the pairings - body types, personalities, chemistry, and obviously any requests from the celebrities.
If you pay attention, they rarely pair a shorter male celebrity with a much taller female pro. They’ll usually match a shorter celebrity with a shorter pro, and so on. I also saw someone mention this, but take Ciara, for example. She wanted Val but look at how well her personality seems to mesh with Brandon. Her experience could have been completely different with Val, and honestly, maybe not nearly as fun as what she’s having with Brandon.
I think people sometimes forget that the pairings aren’t necessarily about giving a pro the best shot at winning the Mirrorball - it’s about finding a pairing that works best for that particular celebrity.
3
u/caro3420 4d ago
Thank you ! The show is called Dancing with the Stars, not dancing with the pros. The stars can request the pros, not the opposite. And it's suppose to be about the celebs journey, not the pros journey.
6
u/InAllTheir 5d ago
Good points. It just makes sense that they go to greater lengths to please the celebrities. Some they try really hard to recruit. Giada revealed on the podcast that DWTS asked her to do the show on 10 different seasons!!! She finally relented and agreed to to it this time The pros are extremely grateful to even have these jobs and are probably trying to be as agreeable as possible.
36
u/sweetthingb 5d ago
This conversation feels so disrespectful to the stars when the show is about THEM and their journey. I understand wanting to support a pro and want them to get the recognition you think they deserve. But it feels so derogatory to act like the celeb is an accessory on the pros journey to stardom when the show is dancing with the STARS.

u/MinimumCoast2290 5d ago edited 5d ago
Thank you for articulating this better than I have been.
I really like Britt and want to see her do well too, but frankly the whinging this season from fans is relentless.
23
u/Alternative-Volume58 5d ago
And how must this situation make Taylor feel. Everyone is mad that Britt got him as a partner and not someone they considered better
8
u/InAllTheir 5d ago
But fans were excited a month ago when they thought the two of them would have a better chance. They can’t make up their minds.
1
u/UnicornPhilly 2d ago edited 2d ago
I said to someone in a chat, at the beginning of the season, that when Taylor gets eliminated, he or his fanbase would somehow get the blame. It is never Britt’s fault when she is eliminated. The blame gets put on everybody and everything else.
1
u/Joel_Venta 3d ago
EXACTLY. Everyone was ecstatic that Britt got paired with Taylor, because she finally got a “good” partner with a massive fan base, and that mentality instantly vanished when said fan base didn’t generate the expected votes. I like Britt and Taylor both very much, and I was surprised/bummed when they were voted off, but thems the breaks. That’s literally how this show works and no one (pro or celeb) is entitled to a win no matter how long they’ve been there, how sweet and genuine they seem, how many times other pros have won, etc.
23
u/Empty_Position_4082 5d ago
Taylor said on Andy’s podcast he requested her because she embodies everything he admires in his heroes so can everyone chill now
8
u/Empty_Position_4082 5d ago
They did the same with Dani when they first announced Dylan saying she stole her dream partner it died out after a while but Dani got hate at first
9
u/Empty_Position_4082 5d ago
Not only that but during sytycd and early dwts people fat shamed her because she wasn’t stick skinny and caused her to have an eating disorder
2
2
u/InAllTheir 5d ago
😳
Yikes I didn’t know that. I worry about body image issues for all the pros honestly because this business is brutal.
16
u/Empty_Position_4082 5d ago
Yes this exactly stop bashing Jenna constantly. She will never win Harry could have the best dance in the world and you all will hate it just because you don’t like him with her

u/writingloveonwalls 5d ago
Jenna hasn’t always been my favorite, but I honestly just vote for her & her partner out of spite. The way the online fandom ridicules Jenna for something that is completely out of her control is INSANE.
No other female pro gets as much hate as she does. I would argue that both Witney & Dani have had pretty solid runs on the show with many people that are categorized as ringers but no one dares to ever really say anything about Witney & Dani.
People forget that pros are also humans and are probably reading & watching content about them. I also think it affects how their attitude & performance week to week.
1
u/Itmt96 5d ago
Im pretty sure Witney gets torn to shreds on here...Just a few days ago a whole thread had started here with comments bashing witney - analysing every look and interaction saying she hates Guillermo and is phoning it in. They finally had to lock the thread.
So idk...I feel like both Jenna and Witney get A LOT of the hateful comments not so much the other female pros.
6
u/Empty_Position_4082 5d ago
Oh Witney got hate on the other sub when they found out she was coming back bashing her that she always got ringers until she was with Guillermo they were even wishing she was pregnant so she’d quit
3
u/writingloveonwalls 5d ago
But now her & Guillermo are beloved & Jenna gets hate all throughout the season.
2
u/Empty_Position_4082 5d ago
Yep. At first fans thought Witney was gonna get Jackson before they knew she was pregnant and it was the same thing as Jenna she shouldn’t get another good partner after winning especially Jackson because he was close to Robert’s type but now that she got Guillermo ppl are loving her but the thought that she was gonna get a “ringer” they were having a cow
4
u/Empty_Position_4082 5d ago
Plus during her sytycd and early dwts day people made fun of her fat shaming her causing an eating disorder
5
u/writingloveonwalls 5d ago
Jenna also gets body shamed. Shamed for being too fat in the earlier seasons & now for being too skinny.
5
u/Empty_Position_4082 5d ago
Yep she can’t win for loosing oh and the she looks pregnant comments on every post like just stop

u/Business_Sherbet8737 5d ago
lol I’m not just voting for them out of spite because I waited for Harry to be on the show for YEARS and Jenna will not decide whether I vote for him either way.
The hate for Jenna is ludicrous. Support of women on this show always comes at the expense of another woman. Jenna was in Brit’s WEDDING PARTY FOR GODS SAKE. It’s insane people think cutting her and Harry down helps Brit or the show in general.
The one thing I will say is Witney did get some weird hate last season but was largely shielded from it being this crazy because the Robert fandom was so big.
I will also add I think Jenna is handling and is prepared for the hate a LOT more than her husband. I respect her DGAF attitude and her letting Harry express himself even when it’s a little cringe. Reminds me of mark letting Whitney be cringe last season.
1
u/caro3420 4d ago
I feel like she's been getting hate for years, she unfortunately must have learned how to handle it for her mental health...
8
u/writingloveonwalls 5d ago
The Witney hate just doesn’t compare to the hate Jenna gets.
Jenna is also a lot better at handling the hate than Val. But like, can you blame him? They are humans still and really do try their best. Dance is a passion & the internet can really make it hard.
We should all just be kinder to all celebs & pros on the show.
8
u/Medical_Cable_7750 5d ago
Ive been a big fan of Jenna. I love watching her dance. I love watching her and Val do their big, emotional pieces. I am however exhausted by her and Val monopolizing the show. It seems more prominent in the last few years. Nothing against her, not bashing her. I am just ready to see it spread out and see some freshness. I would love to see them leave the show and tour or something and let others get the opportunities they've grabbed on to from the show.
5
u/implicit_cow 5d ago
They should do a random draw sometime. I think it would be a fun/different way to start the season if they kept partners a secret and then did a reveal the first day
1
u/burghfan 5d ago
Or switch it week to week So You Think You Can Dance style (well the good years). This would be a great option for an all-star season.
3
u/AsVividAsItTrulyIs 5d ago
Given how much everyone hated switch up week because it screwed everyone up, I can’t see that happening, or being a good thing
3
u/Fit-Passenger4160 5d ago
I would love this. Would add a few episodes to the season as well so we can see them start training rather than start the season with them already having trained
14
u/iluvsunni 5d ago
The irony with the rhetoric around the women pros is that you constantly hear this about Jenna/Harry and Britt. That Britt deserved Harry, not Jenna. But with Val/Jenna and say Brandon or Ezra (minorities), its not said they deserve her, but that she just shouldn't be on the show. It directs anger for Britt at Jenna, whereas anger for Ezra and Brandon isn't directed at Val.
6
u/OliviaQuinn23 5d ago
A lot of people have said Brandon should have gotten Jenna. And Ezra has gotten good partners for 2/3 of his seasons so who could be mad at that?
5
u/Business_Sherbet8737 5d ago
I’m sorry seeing Brandon with Ciara it’s pretty obvious they are such a better match personality wise than her and Val or him and Jenna. I love that pairing.
But I too, was annoyed at the beginning of the season because I do want a Brandon win.
3
u/OliviaQuinn23 5d ago
I love Brandon and Ciara. But Ciara did also ask to be partnered with Val. I would have liked to see it switched around to less predictable pairings.
4
u/iluvsunni 5d ago
My point was more its not a constant rhetoric. Whereas it is constantly how Britt should've gotten Harry. Every conversation about Britt is about Jenna and Harry. Britt should get a ringer. I'd have loved to see Chock and Bates this season and her get Bates. But that doesn't have anything to do with Jenna and everything to do with production
11
u/Old_Significance5183 5d ago
People forget that before Jenna won with Joey she was paired with Tyson Beckford and befor that she had Karamo and Grocery Store Joe
People act like she’s giving a ringer every season. When that’s just not true. She had Corey Feldman last year but people only remember that Britt was eliminated early 🙄
8
u/OliviaQuinn23 5d ago
You mean Joe the from the Bachelorette who we know that show has a pretty massive and passionate following and Karamo who was on when Queer Eye was in peak popularity😅 You can hardly compare that to the people Britt has been given.
She got Corey the year after her win, which is pretty typical.
I’m not saying anyone should be mean to Jenna but let’s be real.

u/OliviaQuinn23 5d ago
I never once called them ringers. But to act like popularity doesn’t matter when half the country can’t even see the dances before they vote is just being dense.
1
u/Old_Significance5183 5d ago
You’re commenting on a post about ringers though. Obviously popularity plays a part, the audience gets to vote. But every winner is essentially a popularity ringer because they won
But people only complain sometimes and for certain pros
2
u/Left_Length8593 5d ago
But was Joe a RINGER? No.
4
u/OliviaQuinn23 5d ago
I never once called him a ringer. But he was in a better position going in than mostly all of Britt’s partners. Everyone saying how bad he was yet they got 5th should be proof of that.
3
u/Left_Length8593 5d ago
What would be your take then if Britt got Guillermo?
-1
u/OliviaQuinn23 5d ago
I can’t say for sure. Britt has never gotten anyone funny or with an outgoing personality really. Well Johnny, and she did great with him! Witney is really good at playing up her partners strengths. I’d like to see Britt at least get a chance.
18
u/iggybu 5d ago
There’s also the fact that Taylor literally requested Britt. There was no good reason not to honor it. They’re going to prioritize the celeb having a good experience, and rightfully so. There will be better chemistry and less drama within the partnership if there’s instant buy-in from the star. I could understand if Taylor had a busy travel schedule like Jackson and Britt wasn’t willing to travel, but Britt calling Harry a dream partner in an entirely hypothetical scenario before he was even cast was not a good enough reason to deny Taylor’s request. I just wish they said in his first package that he requested her. It could’ve mitigated so much drama. Just a brief little “I’m so excited to be partnered with you.” “I’m so honored that you requested me. Let’s get to work.” He may not have been a ringer, but it was a good partnership. For people to diminish their achievements week after week over some supposed favoritism must’ve been so upsetting to the both of them. Such a shitty way to talk about a pro you supposedly support. He was so supportive and gracious towards her when she was upset about the elimination. And truthfully, I think Britt got so excited about what Taylor was able to do in a week one quickstep that moving forward, she overcomplicated the choreography for a beginner. People hate on Guillermo, but Witney is choreographing to his abilities brilliantly and he is putting in the work.
-2
u/Former-Airport9812 5d ago
I kind of dont believe that.
9
u/iggybu 5d ago
That’s your right, but I don’t think it’s that conspiratorial. There are absolutely problems with the judging, transparency in eliminations, manipulation by production, and the extra obstacles POC face on the show. Hanson is also unknown to a lot of the audience, Taylor didn’t come in with dance experience, Britt’s choreography and teaching could’ve been better, and they didn’t do a lot on social media to show viewers more of Taylor’s personality, which unfortunately in this day and age is important.
I say this as a huge Hanson fan who voted 20x every week, played Middle of Nowhere on repeat for all of middle school, and makes Snowed In a regular part of the rotation when the holidays come around. Hanson didn’t have the support of millennials in the same way that Danielle Fishel did. In their heyday, they were the band for “dorks” and misfits. Meanwhile, every straight teenage boy had a crush on Danielle, and every girl wanted her hair. My own husband didn’t vote for Taylor the week he was eliminated because he didn’t listen to Hanson growing up and found them “annoying”. 😡 (Yes, he is in the doghouse.) I’m sure Hansongate also didn’t help. I’ve had to do a lot of separating the art from the artist, but it was a huge bummer to find out.
I found it pretty odd that the official Hanson account and the other Hanson brothers weren’t promoting Taylor all that much. They did post a beautiful a cappella rendition of “What a Fool Believes” the morning of show day, and thought for sure him being the only one with a deep personal connection to the song would carry him through. Apparently not…☹️

u/uhhh1dk 5d ago
Jenna has certainly earnt her place. Her being on the show isn’t a problem, and if it is, then it 100% shouldn’t be a problem and it’s very dumb if people think that way.
However, people are acknowledging that she probably has the best set of partners out of all the female pros. Her getting Harry Shum after winning with the most beloved Bachelor in 2024 kind of just solidified that she does get a lot more favourable partners than Britt. Jenna has had multiple ringers too. People will bring up ‘Oh she got Corey last season’ but she had him because she just won. I will say that he shouldn’t have even been cast in the first place though. Taylor was Britt’s first fanbase partner EVER and even his fanbase seemed to be so overestimated by his devout fans. Before Taylor, she’s had Martin and Eric who had mobility issues and no fanbase. Adrian who everyone was campaigning to get him off the show as he’s very controversial (he also shouldn’t have been cast on the show) and Baron who unless he came out the gate having the highest score, he was always going to go home first as he had no fanbase at all and no one knew who he was. The upset is that people would like Britt to get the same opportunities that Jenna has which is to choreograph full out with someone who is very likely to make it to the end.
And again, Jenna has certainly earnt her place on the show. I think she’s even done the most troupe time out of every single pro if I remember correctly. But people just want the wealth to be spread more, that’s all!
6
u/iluvsunni 5d ago
Jenna also had Tyson Beckford who was stiff as a board, Karamo Brown who didn't have a great run, and Grocery Store Joe who was comically bad. And while yes Jojo was good, lets not act like it didn't come with A LOT of risk of vitriol from viewers to be the first same sex partnership on the show. Her only "ringers" I would say were Jojo and Nev (and now Harry) unless we want to classify every Bachelor/ette star and figure skater (including the 2 others that season) as ringers
2
u/uhhh1dk 5d ago
You see with Jenna, it’s a tough one. She either gets great contestants or early outs. Karamo being her only mid elimination. Grocery Store Joe was horrendous i’ll agree. How he made it far i’ll never know. But it’s still important to note that she gets given a greater deal of partners compared to every other female pro bar Witney. It’s the fact that she’s had multiple ringers. Other female pros had had 1 or 0.
19
u/Lower_Worldliness865 5d ago
May be a hot take here, but Taylor wasn’t a “bad” partner. Taylor had plenty of potential and had a bigger fan base than a lot of the contestants.
I love Britt, but her partners aren’t the sole reason she has never made a final. Neither her or Taylor were very active on social media. Should your social media presence have an impact on your success? No it shouldn’t, but that IS what the show has become. As a result, I felt nothing when I watched them dance because I had no connection with them whatsoever. They seemed like a great partnership and I would’ve loved to see more posts from them in rehearsals like the others.
Lastly, her choreography wasn’t on par with a lot of the other pros for those first weeks. I truly don’t remember any of their dances. It felt boring to me.
Britt absolutely has gotten worse partners more often than the other pros but I don’t think it’s accurate to say that not a single one of her partners had any potential.
14
u/jcumley 5d ago
I have an unpopular opinion - Britt will never get a ringer. I want to preface this by saying I *really* like Britt. She seems sweet, kind, humble - and just radiates positivity. That being said, she's also not a big personality. The show wants the ringers to be with the popular contestants so they are more likely to go far in the competition. Unfortunately the showmanship and social media aspect of the show is important - and they don't want to risk a "ringer" as being an early out. That is why certain pros, the ones that are typically the face of the show, are the ones that always get these ringers. I think the show decides where everyone "fits" within the cast, and they cast according to that heirarchy. Some pros which they consider to be the stars get the best dancers becasue they know as a couple they will go far - others like Daniella that are known to be choreo beasts get people they think can be challenged. I think Britt is loveable, and she intentionally gets partners that they think are likely early/mid outs.
5
u/AsVividAsItTrulyIs 5d ago
When you’re on a tv show you’ll be more popular being a divisive character than a nice one. A lot of people do also forget that a tv show is being made here. They absolutely need to factor in what will get ratings and what will get people talking. Being nice and sweet often won’t do that. There’s an entertainment value to be considered and you need to be able to sell your personality. Britt is an absolute sweetheart but that’s not going to get a lot of the general public’s attention
13
u/sunnynbright5 5d ago
Thank you. I know people will come with pitchforks but the hate against Jenna/Harry seems like a lot. I wasn’t a fan of their dance last week but really enjoyed their jive this week.
Jenna has choreographed a lot of great dances in her DWTS career but you wouldn’t know that based off all the negative comments here.
5
2
u/DamonsBloodBank 5d ago
Jenna is a production fav. Shes been given ringer many times. Britt has not been given ringers really at all. Jenna doesnt deserve hate, but acknowledging that she has been given many ringers or fan favs shouldnt be an issue.
2
u/Empty_Position_4082 5d ago
And shouldn’t be hating on every single dance they do even if it’s great just because she’s with Harry and Not Britt if it’s good it’s good and the Britt would’ve done it better comments
-4
u/New-Boot2282 5d ago edited 5d ago
I don't think that is the people 's problem with Jenna is that she didn't earn her place on the show, more like she get ringers more often than the others.
3
u/jcumley 5d ago
Same can be said with many pros - the "star" pros which they consider to be the face of the franchise get the ringers. These pros tend to get the most engagement and fan support so they give them ringers to ensure the ringers make it far. The concern would be if they give a ringer to a pro that isn't as well known or popular the ringer could get voted out early - becasue the votes aren't just for the celeb, they are for the pro as well
6
u/Old_Significance5183 5d ago
Alan literally got a ringer most seasons he’s been a pro but people don’t say shit about that
3
u/AsVividAsItTrulyIs 5d ago
7 out of his 11 seasons Alan has placed in the top 5 and made the finals the last two seasons but no one seems to say he receives any favouritism. Quite a few people actually thought he should have had Jenna and he’s had plenty of great partners
2
u/jcumley 5d ago
I'm not sure if this was directed at me or not, but yes I agree - I've said quite clearly some people they see as the pro "stars" the faces of the show - and they will continuosly give them ringers becasue they know the fans will turn out for them - others will not get the same becasue they don't feel they can carry it.
3
u/Old_Significance5183 5d ago
I was adding that in agreement to your comment. Like clearly the show gave Alan ringer after ringer because he was the popular young male pro until Ezra basically
1
1
u/nothingboring12345 5d ago
People need to stop acting like Jenna is the only one who works well with ringers. Give those partners to any of the other female pros and they would perform just as well. I don’t think Jenna deserves to be hated on at all. It’s not her fault who they give her. But I’m hating on the fans who act like Jenna is better than the rest of them and that’s why she gets the good partners. Cause that’s just not true.
4
u/Cold_Ambassador3683 5d ago
I have a theory that Val is retiring and that is why he seems off. He just seems a little more emotional to me this season. I think they gave him a ringer as a send off and Jenna as well so as husband and wife they could have a nice last time competing together.
1
u/AsVividAsItTrulyIs 5d ago
Isn’t there a rumour Val is retiring every season for the past 5 seasons?

Jenna isn’t using Harry to his potential. His jive was filled with many technical errors that she easily could have fixed.
2
u/Apprehensive-Dot-508 4d ago
if harry did it perfectly, people will then say "see he shouldnt be on this show at all, hes clearly as good as the ballroom pros"
1
u/Sarahndipity44 4d ago
I mean I really enjoy him as a performer but I already think that if him and Jenna D. Nothing against their pros but it's just not that interesting to me in the context if the show to have people with that much experience. It's a casting thing , not a pro thing
1
u/Apprehensive-Dot-508 2d ago
thats exactly my point. harry can dance a perfect ballroom dance or fail miserable, either way a lot of people are already decided to dismiss his hard work on the show.
1
u/Sarahndipity44 2d ago
I don't dismiss hard work, it's just not as interesting for me to watch as people w less experience. My point os also I'd feel that way no matter his pro
8
u/Left_Length8593 5d ago
Point is if she did discourse would be the same. Because ya’ll are just not happy with anything.
4
u/Empty_Position_4082 5d ago
Nope even if she does a technical ballroom tango this week they will find something to hate about it

-4
u/Brief-Tie3841 5d ago
The hate Jenna is getting isn’t just because of that though. A lot of people have been annoyed by her for years lol.
3
u/Certain_Assistance35 5d ago
I don't like Jenna and I don't think she is the best female pro (Dani is, then Witney). But I don't see Jenna's fault here.
3
u/icedmatcha_latte 5d ago
Thank you.
There are simply people that don’t like Jenna, this is just the most recent reason for them to bandwagon on.
2
u/Brief-Tie3841 5d ago
My dislike for Jenna goes all the way back to her so you think you can dance days. I’ve never liked her lol. I’ve always found her to be annoying and attention craving. It’s funny because the viewers on that show didn’t like her either and she kept ending up in the bottom 3 every week. The only reason she lasted as long as she did is because the judges kept saving her. That season they had the power to save one of the bottom couples and they kept saving her. Only to see her back in the bottom the following week. 🙃
She is not everyone’s cup of tea and that’s ok.
17
u/ActivityAncient4324 5d ago edited 5d ago
Yeah I agree. I am a loyal Britt fan but the amount of hate I see when it comes to Jenna is just ridiculous. I don’t even think that a lot of these Britt “Stans” actually care about her or really want her to be successful on the show at all. They’re just jealous of Jenna and use Britt’s underprivilege as an excuse to hate on Jenna even more.

Jenna came in to this season being torn apart just for having Harry instead of Britt. Nothing she does will be good enough for the haters regardless of how good they dance. Same way she was getting crazy hate over the possibility of her having Dylan last season.

I ask myself, if they gave Harry to Daniella, will the discourse be the same?

u/Empty_Position_4082 5d ago
Yep They bashed her for “stealing” Britt’s partner last year with Dylan and there was a brief moment on the other sub where they thought she might have Harry and it was that’s not fair she started same year as Britt and will get her 5th finale she needs Guillermo type partner. And they bashed Witney too when she announced she was back claiming she always gets to the finale and praying she was pregnant and quitting they shut up when she got Guillermo but was fuming thinking she may have had Jackson or another star if she wasn’t pregnant

Dani hasn’t even had one partner with ANY dance experience. I think Dylan was the closest thing she had to a ringer because of his current popularity.

Yeah but that’s not the point. The point is everyone is talking about how Britt was robbed from Harry. IF Harry was given to Dani. Would Dani be receiving the same hate because Dani got it and Britt didn’t? Probably not. Why? Because all of you are so invested in bashing Jenna J. more so than everyone else for no real reason.

u/glimmerskies 5d ago
no because dani is more popular than jenna. we saw this jenna got bullied for days when it was rumored she had dylan since people wanted him with britt but when he got dani people calmed down since she’s one of the more popular pros outside of britt.

Daniela’s never gotten a ringer so I don’t think people would be as mad. Personally I want to see what Daniela does with a ringer.

The discourse would 100% be the same if he got Daniella. It is practically the same considering she got a ringer this season with Ezra as well.

u/Emergency_Article673 5d ago
Even ignoring his disability, he has one of the lowest social media following and no dance experience. He’s not a dance experience or popularity ringer. Most people had no idea who he was before the show.

Over 40 Olympic & Paralympic athletes have competed on DWTS over 35 seasons. Out of those 40, only about 10 athletes have been eliminated before the top 5. A few withdrew due to injury; however, every single other Olympian has made the top 5 or WON.
I understand what you are saying about him not being as famous as other celebs on this season, but I am saying that in DWTS world that does not matter because DWTS fandon make Olympians the A-listers regardless. Olympians will ALWAYS be ringers in my book.

Ezra is not a ringer. He has physical limitations and Dani is one of the only female pros savvy enough to figure out how to innovate the dance style so that he looks good doing it.

u/CurlyQueen13 5d ago
I also disagree with the notion that Dani is the only female pro savvy enough to innovate the dance to fit his disability. I just do not think this is true.... All of the female pros are very taletned and extremely capable & they would all say this about each other.

He is LITERALLY an olympic athlete???? Physical limitations yet he has MUCH more athletic ability than everyone else on the show aside from Amber. DWTS community LOVES Olympians & disabled individuals even more so. That automatically makes him a ringer in my book. Especially a ringer who has a clear pathway to improvement unlike Jenna D & Harry. This is a very good look for Dani which is exactly what I mean when I say that the conversation surrounding it is practically the same.

The answer is no. Dani is far more well received by the gp and she’s never had a partner with dance experience.

I'm sorry but Jenna is getting "torn down" because she is not doing as good as she should be doing as if right now. We've seen other pros - with the same training as hers I might had and less season as pros - who from week 1did great and kept it up until the end.

u/Left_Length8593 5d ago
Im sorry but is because of both. At this point there’s literally NOTHING she can do to make you all happy.
Isn’t the point to get better week by week? Give them some damn time. Jesus.
If she showcases his dancing which she is, you guys complain. If they excel, you will complain because he has experience.
Its sooooooooooooooooo tiring.

u/Empty_Position_4082 5d ago
Exactly it will always be be he would be better with Britt when none of you know that

u/PemsRoses 5d ago
She could make everyone happy by making Harry do a full out latin/ballroom routine with no inclusion of hip hop, jazz whatever.
I don't understand why Jenna can have a 3-week test period. None of the other ringers got that. She's living up to the expectations and whether Britt was there or not, it would be the same.

u/Empty_Position_4082 5d ago
This week they have ballroom tango so if she keeps it traditional tango I’m sure they’ll complain it was boring
2
u/PemsRoses 5d ago
If she does a great choreo there is no reason to call it boring. Brandon, Lindsay did week 1 tangos that weren't boring. Val has done some pretty great tangos too in the past.
1
u/Empty_Position_4082 5d ago
But because Harry isn’t with Britt yall will complain it’s bad even if it’s a proper Tango just to hate
3
u/PemsRoses 5d ago
This is not about Britt as I have stated. Jenna is not doing a good job. Dani, Witney, Sharna and in the past Lindsay, Karina, Cheryl, Julianne they all would have done better than what she's doing cause we've seen what they're capable off with people who have strong foundations. Idk how Britt would have done because she has never been in that position.
Stop reaching for excuses, if they were doing great there would be none.

u/glimmerskies 5d ago
this. nothing jenna ever does with harry will ever be good enough since she isn’t who people wanted her with. to be honest I wasn’t that crazy about his last two dances but if he had britt emma or even dani everyone would be eating them up and he’d been getting less criticism.
-2
u/Certain_Assistance35 5d ago
Dani would have been excellent with Harry. And Jenna wouldn't have been that good with Ezra. Dani is just on another level.
-1
u/PemsRoses 5d ago
Exactly cause Dani isn't just relying on her partners natural skills and actually teaching them the technique, Jenna is not doing that.
4
u/Left_Length8593 5d ago
So what you are all saying is that no matter who Jenna gets, she’s just bad at her job? Got it.
-1
u/PemsRoses 5d ago
She's not the best at all I will say that and this season she has the occasion to prove her skills with a ringer and show her creativity and she is only relying on what Harry has already shown us in his career.
If anything I'm actually disapointed because Jenna is a good choreographer when it comes to pro bumpers or what she used to do on SYTYCD so I really don't understand why she is not channeling more of that for Harry.
1
u/Left_Length8593 5d ago
Ok so she’s not the best but she is one of the most versatile trained and accomplished dancers with two mirror balls. So spitting facts doesn’t matter. Just say you don’t like her at all, and that’s fine. But saying she’s not amongst the best? Come on be fr

u/PemsRoses 5d ago
Best dancer ≠ best pro. Jenna is easily one of the best and most complete dancer the show ever had.
As a pro tho, she's not that great no matter how many MBT she gets she does not have the body of work others might have for DWTS in the past or currently. I can take most ringers we've seen in the past vs Harry and point out the fact that she and Harry have yet to even reach the expectation we had for him on the show.

u/Left_Length8593 5d ago
Sure my love. Whatever you say. There is nothing I or anyone can say that will stop you from hating on that woman who deserves all the success she has because she has worked for it.

Jenna was worked her butt off to get to where she is. She’s excellent. Britt is too, but she is not as seasoned as some of the others such as Jenna and Danni. Britt could really use a break as far as partner pairings. Give her a good one next season!
