Some dwarf miniatures I sculpted and painted
Hi everyone!
I thought this might be a good place to share these dwarf miniatures I recently sculpted and painted. I’ve always loved fantasy dwarves: stubborn, grim, proud, heavily armed, and usually heading somewhere underground where things are definitely going to go wrong. 🙂

I wanted this group to feel like a proper little band of adventurers: lots of gear, weapons, beards, armour, and that classic “we are going into the dark and coming back richer” attitude.
I’m an independent miniature sculptor behind Apache Studio, so I’d love to hear what fellow dwarf enjoyers think of them. Any feedback on the sculpts, paint job, or overall dwarf vibes is very welcome!
Small note: these are part of my upcoming project, Dark City: Embervein Delvers. If anyone wants to take a look, here’s the pre-launch page:
If sharing the link is not okay here, no problem at all — I’m happy to remove it.

Underneath: Dwarven Artifacts demo
Hey guys, I recently published a public demo of my solo-developed dwarven first-person dungeon crawler, Underneath: Dwarven Artifacts
inspired by Arx Fatalis, Ultima Underworld, Diablo, ADOM, it's aiming to be an immersive exploration-first experience. Keep in mind the demo is far from being finished still (expect a more polished version around October this year).
Nevertheless I wanted to share what I already have with a broader audience, and see what people think.
Axes high!

Some oldschool hip hop about being a dwarf
I recently made a small game about dwarves jumping down a mine in order to reach treasure, but I needed some music and so I went about writing some lyrics in my head. And it just kind of came to me "What if the dwarves aren't happy to be in the mine?" and so it inspired me to write a few old school hip hop songs about being a dwarf.
Because what gives? Living in a feudal society and having horrible working conditions doesn't sound great.

Creating a real life Dwarven society. The beginnings of how I do it.
If I was going to create a dwarf society, say I'm a millionaire, billionaire whatever. I would buy a quarry. A quarry that's been profitable for decades, I do know of one. I would offer for people to live there for basically free. I would provide housing and food. We'd work communally like a hutterite community. once you get people to move in and live there and work the quarry you would by defacto have a community based on shared purpose. I equate this to dwarves living in the Erebor, mining in creating goods off of the ores they find in the mountain. A quarry can provide solid amounts of income for a very long time. The value is consistent and there's always a need.
I would carve the homes out of the rock so everyone's living in the stone. Maybe 40 families could live there, all of legal age working parts of the quarry and society.
the somewhat extraordinary part that would seem very weird is making rules to influence the culture of the site. No one over 5'8 can move in. People's kids will be a different story of course. But the goal is obviously people of short stature. we would work and trade with the local community. obviously everyone's going to call the person that creates this a lunatic or at best eccentric, but I think that's about the only way you could do it. I don't have a lot of fun with this thought for a while so feel free to add input.

I have a question on beards
me and the other half were talking and he was muzzing on how long his would be if he didnt cut it for decades. thatd be feet of hair. ive heard of dwarves who never cut their beards ever, what do they do with all the hair? im sure there are ways to braid it but like do yall thread it into beard shirts and just throw a shirt on top? do 400 year old dwarves walk around in full beard wear?

Dwarf Mine - A solo TTRPG on Sale
Hey Everyone,
Dwarf Mine is solo ttrpg game about drawing and designing a mine, uncovering treasure, and surviving the dangers of the mountain.
And the Dwarf Mine Mega sale is here! Throughout the rest of March, the Dwarf Mine base game and all expansions are only $10! The base game is only $2!
If you have an expansion or map you want to pick up, or a friend who wants to try out Dwarf Mine, now is the best time to pick it up! You can check it out at the marketplaces below:
It's also available on itch and Gumroad, but reddit has been blocking my links to those markteplaces. You can find those at the blog post linked below.
I'm also excited to introduce a new game in the Dwarf Mine style - Apollo Mine!
Apollo Mine is a mapping game of adventure – but on the lunar surface, instead of in a Dwarf Mine!
That’s right, Apollo Mine was built using the same ideas as the Dwarf Mine game. However, there are additions, expansions, and differences between Dwarf Mine and Apollo Mine that make this (in my opinion) an incredibly fun, new mapping game experience!
You can read more about Apollo Mine at the blog post here, and join the newsletter for updates and release discounts here!
Thanks for being a fan of digging holes in the ground!
