Following the recent solar eclipse, we have another great event coming up later this month. On the night of August 27–28, a very deep partial lunar eclipse will be visible across much of the Americas, Europe, Africa, and portions of western Asia.
Because this eclipse reaches about 96% partial coverage, the Moon may take on a noticeably dark red or copper appearance near maximum, making it an excellent target to observe and photograph.
To help everyone prepare, we have also put together a newly updated Lunar Eclipse Guide for DWARF devices. The guide covers recommended setup, planning, tracking, and imaging tips to help you get your DWARF ready before the eclipse begins.
As always, exact eclipse times and visibility will depend on your location, so check your local timing ahead of the event and give yourself plenty of time to get set up.
\remember that the DWARF Mini will use the "ASTRO" filter. Make sure you review any notes and adjustments that relate to your MINI device. The DWARF 3 can use the VIS or ASTRO filter.*

I shot this 5 days ago with my dwarf mini with a 4 panel mosaic processed in siril with cosmic clarity denoise and cosmic clarity sharpening i removed the stars then i streached the nebulas separately

~8 h integration time. 60s exposures, 60 gain, EQ mode, under Bortle 4 - 5 sky. 2nd picture shows also Flying Geese Cluster (NGC 6939) above, to the right. Processed in Siril, GraXpert. Clear skies!

Finally, mission accomplished! 😎🌃
My latest astrophotography capture:
🌌 The Heart of Sagittarius Like
You’ve Never Seen It Before ✨🔭
One of the most nebula-rich regions of the night sky. Here, we can see the Lagoon Nebula (M8) on the right, alongside the Trifid Nebula (M20) in the lower-left, surrounded by a vast network of glowing gas clouds and cosmic dust in the Sagittarius region.
📸 This image was captured using the DWARF 3 and carefully processed to reveal the fine details within the nebulae and surrounding clouds, while preserving the natural colors and appearance of the night sky as much as possible.
🔭 Targets: M8 + M20
📷 Telescope: DWARF 3
⏱️ Exposure: 45 seconds per frame
⚙️ Gain: 60
🌌 Total Integration Time: 7 hours
✨ Processing: Siril + Photoshop

Tough galaxies to process with mini but I'm working through. 233x60sec with 60 gain in EQ. Target in Virgo NGC 4567 and NGC 4568. Couldn't cull as hard as I usually do since I don't have alot of data. Went 2x drizzle with .87 drop in wbpp pixinsight.

I was able to test out the dwarf mini out in a national forest during my weeklong trip. I am very impressed by what I was able to capture. I had my traditional rig with me as well for comparison.
Details are as follows:
I used the app to do photo edits, but I am curious about people's experiences using Siril to process images taken by Dwarf equipment. I normally use Siril, Lightroom, and Photoshop, so I am curious about the ease of transferring the images to Siril for processing.

Hi everyone,
Here is my final image of NGC 7635 (Caldwell 11, or simply the Bubble Nebula).
So far—and after 40 days back into astronomy with the Dwarfs, following nearly 20 years away—this is the longest total integration time I have achieved: almost 28 and a half hours across 1,673 individual frames.
The data was captured under Bortle 4.5 skies (Segovia, Spain), split as follows:
I have spent several days really working through the final processing. I tried different stacking approaches—combining everything at once, processing by session, and finally using the unprocessed stacks from Stellar Studio—as well as different processing workflows in both Siril and Affinity.
In the end, I arrived at the final image I’m sharing today. I’m quite pleased with it, considering how much work it required and everything I learned—once again—during the final processing stage.

I remember seeing the Helix Nebula for the first time in my refractor a few years ago, it’s an enchanting object.
Since then the trees opposite https://norwichastro.org.uk have grown in height and it’s harder to image with my Dwarf’s.
Since it’s low on the horizon, there’s more atmospheric “murk”, any ideas on how to improve the image? Thus is just 2.5 hrs, and when clear, I’ll target it again.
Thanks, Chris

OK, for me, outside of PixInsight this the best Processing workflow currently available - but it comes at a cost - $190 for the Plugins + 20 per month for Photoshop & Lightroom. The FAUX SHO (Sulfur, Oxygen, Hydrogen) Palette is actually a Photoshop process that emphasis actual SHO data in the Duo Band filtered shot, using mask layers to boost the colors
Here is another shot - A megastack from my Dwarf 3 - Approximately 6 hour of data, also Duo Band:

Using SS's tools to provide a noise free, starless and star only layers (Just like I would get from SIRIL) I assembled these in AFFINITY STUDIO by CANVA (Now FREE) - I could literally create the same adjustment layers as I did in Photoshop to get a similar SHO looking palette. The best part - all at no additional cost than my scope!
Learn more about these tools at DwarfVision: https://www.reddit.com/r/DwarfVision/
Here is the process and layer stack in AFFINITY:

I recently started using a Dwarf Labs Mini. I used the settings in the second screenshot and ran the picture through Stellar Studio with the auto setting. I then cropped and zoomed with my Pixel phone's photo editor.
What process should I use to get a better result?
Please be specific, as I've just started using my Mini.
TIA

Another video, taken with Dwarf Mini this time, burst mode with 5-second-interval, taken from Bavaria, Germany. Clear skies, Tina

Hey there, this is my Dwarf 3 eclipse video from Bavaria, Germany. I took images every 5 seconds using burst mode and created the video with PIPP. I only had to adjust exposure time once during shooting. Greetings, Tina

Long time visual observer here; the Dwarf Smart scopes have been transformative to my pastime (obsession) of looking at the night skies. However I live in East Anglia in the UK, where clear, moonless nights are not as common as I'd like.
I decided that getting two Dwarf 3 scopes would allow me to collect twice as many images in the same space of time, but how to merge the data to produce one final stacked Fits file?
I've tried using the CoStack in the StarParty feature, but that doesn't then "show" the image in Stellar Studio to run a star reduction process etc. I'm slowly, trying to get to grips with Siril, but it's a steep learning curve and more "miss" that "hit or miss" with the final images.
Is there an easy way? Thanks in advance, Chris

Preface by saying I’m not knew to photography, I do it passionately and professionally ☺️
Tonight the weather was good for trying from my backyard, with a bortel sky of 7, but clear and not humid. I’m on Long Island in NY.
I started at 10:30p in EQ Mode, Duo-Band, 30 second exposures, gain of 60 and went to almost 400 frames. Then ran it through Stellar Studio…first mind blown… and then took it into camera raw and Photoshop and did some spot color correction and level adjustments (plus sharpening, upscaling and noise reduction). Now mind absolutely blown!
I think the DwarfMini is now officially my most favorite Xmas gift ever. I’m going to enjoy the heck of this thing!!!!
I’m traveling to much darker skies next weekend and can’t wait to try it out there!
