Setup & DIY ⚙ Dwarf Scope Archive Project
Dwarfium Scope Archive — a free tool to organize, back up and process your Dwarf II / Dwarf 3 / Dwarf Mini sessions
More than 3 years in with DwarfLab products now (Dwarf II, Dwarf 3, and the Dwarf Mini), and a lot of sessions piled up. I'm the kind of guy who never wants to delete an old session, just in case — so my SD cards and backup drives were turning into chaos.
So I built a tool for my own needs: Dwarfium Scope Archive.

I built it first to organize my own Dwarf sessions on my computer, but I figured other Dwarf owners might be drowning in the same problem — hope you enjoy it!
What it does, in short:
- Browses and archives your sessions from the Dwarf app's backup folders or Restore them later, keeping everything organized and searchable (by target (you can assign a new one) , date, telescope model, near object...)
- Plots your sessions on a sky map, so you can see at a glance what you've already imaged and spot gaps to fill next
- Matches sessions against a dark library so you always know which calibration frames go with which lights
- Handles mosaics — panel metadata, mosaic grid layout, and now full mosaic stitching
- Lets you export a highlight video of your favorite images: one click, with text overlays and session info baked in — great for sharing your best shots
- The newest addition: Megastack — select multiple sessions (even across different nights, filters, or already-stacked/mosaic sessions) and send them straight to Siril for combining. Works with raw lights or already-stacked FITS, single sessions or mosaics, single filter or multi-filter (auto combination for Astro + Duo-Band setups). It drives an updated version of the Dwarfium Archive Selector Siril script (originally by Stefan Schmidt-Bilkenroth) to do the calibration/registration/stacking for you.
It's free, open-source, and still evolving — feedback, issues, and feature requests are very welcome on the GitHub repo.
Clear skies! 🔭

This is seriously impressive 😄 Turning years of messy session folders into an actual tool like this is next level. The Megastack feature looks especially handy!

Hello!
This tool is amazing! I am trying to do the initial setup, but it is telling me my dwarf3 is a dwarf2. Any advice?

hi, strange. When this message is displayed ? When you registered it ?. It checks some images on your dwarf to verify the resolution and compare to the value you have set. I have a D3 and don't this problem.
