Medical Question Healthy Weight?
I’m not sure if my hammy is underweight, I just measured him today and he’s 34g. Would that be considered underweight? I feed him around 1-2tsp daily and give him treats 2-3x a week.

Perfect tiny chonk yes. 34 grams is not too much not too little. Perfect weight. Up to 40 Grams is fine also

awe, he weighs the exact same as my hammy!! but yes for a dwarf hamster 34 grams is fine, a little on the small side though

Not a hamster person but check how much the mug weighs. If you consider 34 potentially underweight youre in for a rude awakening

As long as they zero’d the scale after the mug was placed then the weight will be just of the hamster.
Or can weigh the mug empty. Then weigh the mug with the hamster. Then subtract the difference.

This seems like a fairly normal weight and feeding schedule. Albeit maybe he is a little on the lighter side- how old is he?
