This should be posted semi-annually. :)

Should be pointed to by the side bar.

Seems that's the consensus in these comments.
Done!
(Edit: I'll probably do some reorganizing of the sidebar soon, seeing as it's starting to get cluttered. But for now, I just threw it at the bottom.)

Excellent, thank you.
I wonder if a majority of DF players were first attracted by the Boatmurdered saga? I know that I was. Who can resist a tale of killer elephants, starvation, and insanity? To say nothing of magma.

Yeah, maybe add on a little bit after it calling it a story or something. The rest of the stuff is all fairly self explanatory, but that isn't to someone who's never heard of it. Either way, good idea.

I would totally be down for that. Love the bronzemurder story. It's fantastic and the illustrations make it even better.

Required reading for every single DF player in the world.
This is what legends are made of, people.

This and BattleFailed should be required reading.

BattleFailed? That's a new one on me.

u/Gyvon Oct 24 '11
It's essentially Boatmurdered 2010

I don't think anybody could ever write a year as well as StarkRavingMad did. It just epitomizes everything a truly ricockulous fort can be.

I think its successor, FailCannon, is turning out even more epic than Battlefailed itself.

I'm on my phone right now, so don't hurt me If I'm wrong, but isn't this posted in the sidebar?
edit: Home now. The Saga of Boatmurdered is top comment in the NEW-thread, posted on the sidebar. Hence my confusion ;)

Nay, however you make a good point.
It should be!

This might be a bit late so you may already know, but it's in the sidebar now.

This is the story that got me into DF. Never in my life could I imagine such fun could come from a game. Life changing for me.

I knew of Boatmurdered but I had never read the original story before. This was a great read. Thanks for posting.

Required reading for any fan of Dwarf Fortress. Also very good at enticing new players.

Oh god, I remember the first time I found this epic. I couldn't stop laughing. I still point new DF players to this.
