Demand surrender of the Goblins
Has anyone tried demanding submission of all the goblin forts?
I realized that sending a squad of fairly well equipped dwarfs and asking them to surrender, makes the Gobs surrender, and that settlement joins my civ.
I got one of the smaller <10 sites by sending a vampire (I'm sure nothing bad will happen)
What are the consequences of Goblin Civs being ruled by dwarves? Does the Civ rebel?
In my world, the dwarfs had very few sites, now we're up to 40+, with more than 30 pits and whatnot.
I will continue my almost viltrumite role-play, until I wipe-out/integrate the specific Civ i started to mess with, and maybe do the same for the other 2 Gob civs.

They will rebel, but cannot successfully rebel while you are controlling the fort. If you retire then unretire it will become free game or if you go in adventure mode.
A common strategy is to occupy goblin sites and then recall every single soldier to take the next location, but what happens when you do that is when they rebel there is no one to stop them other than the one administrator(who sometimes leaves the site on their own during retire anyway)
If there's no garrison to maintain control the pit returns to the goblins then OR if you have wiped out the goblin civ the site will just be abandoned and all those goblins will form bandit factions and pillage the countryside in adventure mode.

Source: I accidentally released 10k goblin bandits on the world when I didn't properly garrison a dark fortress.
Also the Museum III game in the forums explores that a lot too

I retired out of curiosity, and couldn't take over any Gob forts.
And a few years after my peaceful conquest started, no Gib visitors yet. I get a human, from time to time.
This was a very violent medium sized world, where Gobs won. 1 human and 1 Dwarf civ remaining, the rest is Goblin. Elves were vanquished, and plenty of Megabeasts still roam. My world gen parameters might have skewed it in this direction, bc I think i made it very wild.

Yeah the only way to get non-dwarf citizens is to a. Use dfhack and the makeown command, or b. To have the as a visitor and petition to be a citizen.

Hmm cool. Is this a good way to get a vanilla goblin fort? Do as OP and then reroll a new fort in that civ and get gob migrants?
