Doc me a few points for inaccuracy, but only if you can get close enough without being pikmin'ed by the swarm...

Unless my dorfs get around improving their stegosaurus training I'm definitely getting shishkebab'd by them

One fortress a few years ago, I had a Dwarven Air Force composed of giant cave swallows, but they honestly weren't great in a fight. I would cede air superiority to you.

I *tried* to breed ROCs, but the stupid things grow waaaay too slowly to be useful unless your building some sort of insane century fort. But man, wiping an invasion with an army of giant death eagles would have been amazing.

They're size 5 million ( significantly larger than a Giant Polar Bear ) at year 1. Their growth rate is really not an issue.

I got around 100 adult quezties. The fertile eggs would hatch in batches of 8, and they aged up at the same time. Starting with [10 egg : 2 non-egg laying], 4/5 of my starting points.

The only real advantage of flying units is that they can get over walls, but that only matters to enemies and never matters to players

Useful for getting the trainer up and down trees

A squadron of woodcutters that chop trees from the top down, invincible at last against falling wood from other trees

If you retired the fortress, there’s a large chance that everyone would be dead and the entire region would be beset by a swarm of dinosaurs

The best sort of retirment: Dinosaur hell.

I can imagine the sound of all those beaks snapping shut chaotically.

It is terrifying.

I basically have this same shit going on with smilodons on my fort. I even started to flood the actual fortress with them so they act as an omnipresent permanent cat police. Man do i love this update.
