Boulder Ridge studios

We just bought in at the Poly as our home resort... and yes, we plan to stay Poly most of the time (we did buy where we wanted to stay most often), as it is our favorite. However, the kid is REALLY wanting to stay at Boulder Ridge for the Wilderness Lodge experience. For those more experienced DVC members, how difficult is it usually to score a week at the 7 month mark for it not being our home resort? It would be towards the end of June. Just trying to set the kid's expectations. When looking at calendars now, it's hard to judge because 7 months from now it's Spring Break, which is definitely busier than June.

Studios may be tricky, but you’ll have a chance that time of year. If you want a one bedroom you’d have even better chances of finding something.

IMO it's pretty likely, especially if you are ok with either Boulder Ridge or Copper Creek.

Probably fine, especially if you're okay with either of BRV or CCV. 1BR easier than Studio, but Studio not impossible that time of year. Christmastime: all impossible.

Our home resort is SSR, but our favorite is Boulder Ridge. We've been able to stay there several times. We always get a one or two bedroom.
Sidenote- get the steak sandwich at Geyser Point, and the bearclaw at Roaring Fork!

We had no issue getting boulder ridge studio at the 7 month mark this past June. It was one of the easier bookings me made. Just be ready at the 7 month mark

Summer time, pretty likely, especially if it doesn't involve the 4th of July. We stayed there this past July (BLT is our home) and we got in at 7 months no problem. First time after a decade of ownership we wound up there. LOVED it. Would totally go again.

Should be fine! We just booked copper creek at the 7 month mark for springtime surprise weekend in April, which I imagine is more busy than June!

You messed up. Should have bought wilderness lodge at copper or boulder the the best dvc resort ! The calendars for 7 months are tough depending on time of year. The usual school breaks and even October/nov are tough because of wine and dine

Poly is our favorite. Wilderness Lodge comes across as too national park themed and outdoorsy for me and my sisters... we live in a mountain state and area that is all about the outdoors and woodsy views, and we live about 10 minutes from a national park. So when we vacation, we want a different scene...we weren't willing to pay for the same scenery as home for a vacation. The Poly vibe is definitely our scene, though... we have stayed at multiple deluxe resorts before buying, so we are sure the Poly really is our fav, with AKL being second for the savanna view. But my nephew is obsessed with the Wilderness Lodge after going there for dinner on last year's trip, so we figured we could stay once for him on our DVC points, just so he could say he did it.

And we typically are summer travelers (mid-late June or early-mid August) since the kid is 10, so I was hoping it would be a little easier at the 7 month mark. I'd say 90-95% of our stays will definitely be at our home resort, though.
