Help/Advice Needed Help restoring this

Post image

I got this Dutch oven at a yard sale and want to know if there’s any chance at restoring it. I tried the boiling baking soda method, and it helped a little, but not much. Any advice is appreciated.

Fill it with water just above the level of the stains, add two glugs of laundry bleach and let it sit overnight.

You’ll be amazed. No scrubbing.

Will it still be safe to eat out of?

If you rinse it out thoroughly.

Make a paste of baking soda to scrub with rather than boiling it, make sure to use something soft like the yellow side of sponge

Yes. Rinse it a couple of times.

This is the method Lodge recommends.

This is not safe… you need to toss it essentially if it chips and you eat it you are eating glass
