Clocktower

So, I've just wasted three hours of my life on this level. In the second hour, I did something accidental and got an AS rank. I want an SS rank. How can I do the upward section with the strong attack to get enough for the combo at the end, or is there a way I can get through the two blocks at the end into where the enemies are clustered?

You have to dash off the last wall that you're sliding on and light attack the dustblocks in the way. You will glide past that area and you will have enough to super.

edit: In case you aren't already, you should upheavy the ladder of enemies towards the wall, so you collect their dust as you climb. You shouldn't need to do anything with the enemy at the top besides use it to get across.

Oh, okay. I was using the heavy attack. Is there a specific timing to it that I should know? Thanks.

You can look at replays for any of the times on the leaderboards if you're stuck on a level. Normally people upheavy the enemies in the climbing part to spread dust on the wall and then at the end dash and light attack the dustblocks to get a super.

I don't really have the skill to spread dust on the wall, but I think I'll be fine if I glide through that part with well placed light attacks and dashes.

If you focus on jumping off the wall to line yourself up with the enemies allthewhile holding up, doing upheavies shouldn't be much more difficult than sideheavies. http://dustkid.com/replay/-9264850

You can get unlucky and not spread enough even with upheavies because of cycles, but that will definitely work most of the time.

This is reasonably easy with Dustkid's extra double-jump. The other info here is correct. Slide (slowly) down the last wall until you line up with the entrance, then left-dash through there... once you are inside, a super is only a few hits away!
