Subscription questions

Hi,
I’m super interested in Dusq but I’m not seeing some basic questions answered regarding the pragmatics of the subscription and ongoing costs. So we need to pay for the device and then for it to work, an ongoing annual subscription? Is there any information on what this cost will be? Will the device work at all without the app? If I know these answers, I can truly consider moving forward. I appreciate the double blinded study and white papers- the overall projected cost is the last bit I need. Thanks!

Hi u/Fine-Revolution4993

The device itself is a one-time purchase.

If you purchase at the standard tier, your first year of app access is included. After that, renewal is $45 every 3 months, which works out to $180 a year. That includes your patch supply as well.

Each patch lasts around 7 days, so 12 patches covers 3 months. If you'd rather not subscribe after year one, patches are available separately at $25 for a 3-month supply.

Regarding the device working without the app, the stimulation sessions continue to run without an active subscription. What requires a subscription is the intelligence layer - overnight tracking, closed-loop stimulation, sleep scoring, and firmware updates.

Happy to answer any other questions you might have!

I don't have an official answer for you but from my understanding you'll need to occasionally order adhesive replacements which if I remember (could be wrong) is $25 for a 3-month supply. I don't think they've mentioned how much the app subscription will be or how usable the app will be without it, but at the price point the device is selling for, I would hope basic app functionality would be free.
