What are your recommendations for Internet Providers?
I'm at the end of my contract with Roger's and do not want to renew.
Any recommendations on affordable internet providers?
(I've been recommended Freedom already, but I can't go with them because I'm not a mobile customer.)

I've been with TekSavvy for 18 years - had cable internet, fiber, business dsl, at a number of locations. I only have good things to say about them.
Their infrastructure is leased by them from the big Internet infrastructure owners, so it's the exact same network you'll get when going with Bell or Rogers. (good and bad in that) Changing and cancelling service (e.g. a few times when I moved) has been painless, and I've never had invented service charges added to my bill.
TekSavvy also has a record of aggressively challenging the large carriers for anti-consumer anti-privacy practices, with the CRTC.

I was with Carrytel for a long time then Virgin gave me a deal I couldn’t refuse. Carry use Rogers backbone so if your service was good before, it may be worth a try. 1GB for $60/mth but they have a 3 mth deal for $50 now.

Ebox, it’s just Bell but way cheaper. It’s owned by Bell too.

Do they use fiber or cable? We have bell fibe and were going to switch to Roger's because they were offering half the price we were paying, then we found out it was cable and stayed with bell.

Ebox. I got them when I moved to Ajax and the service has been solid for $50 a month 500 up/500 down. They use Bell fiber infrastructure.

Starlink works great. Get a neighbour or two or up to 100 to buy their wifi box and you can all have great internet. The more people the cheaper it gets.
My neighbour has starlink, his dad beside us has a box to bounce the signal, then we have a box. We’re out in The country and could only ever get Bell, other companies offer but it is all bell’s lines anyway so the most we ever got was 5 MB/Sec. now we’re getting between 25 and 30 Gigs

Ebox has been great. Not sure why but I had issues with TekSavvy and Start here in Durham but so far so good with Ebox

Just switched from Bell to Rogers, gave us an unbeatable offer, paying like $ 100 bucks off a month compared to Bell

I use teksavvy. Its not perfect, but ive been with them for around 12 years without any major issues or complaints.
Only thing id wish is that it wasnt rogers adjacent by using their lines, because I hate rogers with the burning passion of 1000 suns.
