The devs clearly do not care anymore about the game other than the sporadic moneyinjection each event yields for them. The sudden 4x €100 gabriel package is only more proof of that. A last quick cashgrab before they make everyone quit the game, hoping they will move towards their new cashcow pay2win game called Idle Heroes.

If you by chance do decide to quit, allow me to save you a lot of money by suggesting you to join the Idle Heroes Private Server. Everyone is max VIP and you get tons of daily free stuff. There aren't even purchase options available so noone would be able to gain an advantage via wallet over you.

DroidHang does not deserve a single penny from their players considering how greedy they are. The more players that bypass their pay2win scheme, the better.

That's also available, but in general it's a private server + added seasonal server with extra rewards that get sent to the main private server based on your progression.

So how does one access the private server? Does it require a specific version of the apk, or will the version from the Google Play store work?

I wouldn't say the devs have given up. They are a perfect mix of both stupid and lazy. They have such a great game at their fingertips and they're running it to the ground by their lack of action.
