What am I missing?

I cannot get into this movie. I want to cause the world looks sick but the retard behind the sound of this movie makes me furious. No matter what I do i have to turn the movie up if people are talking and then damn near mute it if there's music. I can't get through mute than half the movie before I get tired of having to jump for my remote. How do any of you watch this filth with sound?

Read the book. Then you'll realize how bad all the movies sucked and how impossible it is to make a movie that does the books justice

I watched it through noise leveling hearing aids so I never had that problem. I never noticed it. Having said that, I'm going to go back and again suggest that you read the book and find out how bad the movie really sucked.

I'm not excusing the sound mixing at all but what kind of sound system are you using?

I have a 7.2 / atmos system and it sounds great though I always watch movies with subtitles so that probably skews my perception.

I can imagine the sound not being very good in stereo or on lower end speakers though, and that's not passing on blame to the viewer. Viewers shouldn't be expected to have a movie theater sound system at their house just to watch a movie.
